Ringing In The New Year With Jackie O and Friends....
07:52pm 06/01/2004

mood: cynical
Well, everyone… we’ve successfully made it through, yet, another tedious year. 2004 has officially arrived. Like always, the beginning of a new year gives everyone an acceptable excuse for making resolutions, changes, or minor adjustments in their lives… it’s the start of a fresh new year – ideal for new beginnings or major life alterations. I know several people who are taking this as an opportunity to fix things in their life and start over. Me? Well, I’m just making one specific resolution -- Make 2004 even more exciting and memorable than last year! Let’s see if I can top that craziness!

So, ok… my New Year’s Eve was a blast. I spent it with a boat load of friends, so the comfort of familiar company, as well, as the abundant supply of alcohol made for an exciting night. Before all the festivities began, the crowd of us all met up at hot shots in Deptford. After waiting around for the leader of the pack to direct us in our adventure, we went on our way. The train of 11 cars was a sight to see as we swiftly made it through various lights and dangerous curves. ”Aww, a left hand turn without an arrow??? This is a risky move!” - LOL… I miss you Kate!!!

After a bit of confusion and a whole lot of driving, we ended up in a “log cabin” in Franklinville. ”Ummm… are we still in New Jersey?” Hahaha… well, it didn’t really matter where we were as long as we were surrounded by friends and booze. Jeff and Dan put together spiked watermelons that got you wrecked in, what it seemed like, two bites. Needless to say, they were my favorite of the evening. Fuck taking shots if you can just suck it out of a delicious piece of fruit. =) At midnight, me, Adam, and Kate made a drunken phone call to Mary, I called my Mommy and some friends that weren’t with me, and, of course, took a shot of Bacardi!

Unfortunately after a shot taking session with Amin, Tommy, and Shannon, I accidentally broke a shot glass while reaching for a bottle. This created a huge ruckus, and Kate had my back, getting all up in this girl’s face when she started with me, but eventually our drunkenness took over and everything was dropped. All I can really remember after that was a card game extravaganza taking place in the kitchen, my mission to get Adam and Laura to have sex, Chris chugging a bottle of Southern Comfort (We later had to pick him up from out of the bushes after he was puking outside), and a game of shot-for-shot with Kate and some random couple. I eventually passed out rubbing Shannon’s head cause she didn’t feel so good, and woke up to Tommy snoring, Amin sprawled out on my legs, and Jeff curled up in fetal position on the floor… Hmm.. quite an interesting evening.. Hahaha!

That morning, Me, Shannon, Tommy, Kate, Adam, and Laura hit up Denny’s for a heavenly “brunch” before spending the next 5 hours unconscious in my bed. After waking up, I spent the day with Shannon shopping for birds, hitting up Barn’s and Nobel’s, and going to see ”Cheaper By The Dozen” - which was an incredibly cute movie.. ahh! =)

Friday was ever so more entertaining. Jackie O decided to allow for a gathering to celebrate the New Year. So, myself, Kate, Kathleen, Megan, Adam, Justin, Dennis, Joe, Anthony, two blenders, a jug of Bacardi, a liter of Bacardi Razz, daiquiri mix, pina colada mix, homemade pepperoni bread, Christmas cookies, and of course, Jackie O herself, took part in another amazing drinking adventure. Reminiscing, shot taking, listening to music, and gossip all took place, making this Jackie O party nothing short of exciting. References to previous gatherings, as well as, other drunken escapades were made, creating more memories. The only thing the party lacked was the presence of Miss Mary McGinty, but we made a few drunken phone calls to her as she was leaving the airport.

A Kennedy Family Classic….

Lauren - C’mon Mom… take a shot with your dear ole daughter, Caroline!
Jackie O - Not for nothing, Caroline, but you really don’t need another shot……. ::Short Pause:: Eh, what the hell…. Megan, pour us two more shots!
Megan - Aww, a Kodak moment with the Kennedy’s!

Later that night, Jackie took us to Taco Bell and treated! Aww! =) Once we got back and had sufficient sobering up time, everyone ventured home. Anthony stayed a bit longer with me and we watched the rest of ”The First Wives Club”. Around 3 or so, he headed home and I as soon as my head hit the pillow, I was gone.

On Saturday, my Mommy took me out to dinner at Filomena’s after we did a little back to school shopping. A bit later, Anthony came with me and my parents to help move some of my stuff back into school. I straightened up my apartment and headed home to meet up with Shannon, Ashley, Amin, Chris, and one of their friends who’s name is escaping me as we speak, and hit the bar.

Sunday was my last day at home before school….. so, I was as lazy and worthless as humanly possible. I slugged around the house until about 5 or so before finishing up my packing and getting ready for the day. I had my last home cooked meal and ventured back to Drexel. I was greeted by my ecstatic roommates and after settling in, smoked a bowl, and popped in ”Bringing Down the House”. Anthony came up and enjoyed movie night with us. I eventually made it to bed, and successfully got up in time for my first class of the term.

Monday was the first day of the Winter term. Classes seem to be running smoothly thus far, and it looks like another lovely quarter is in the works. I'm taking some diverse classes this time around... Let's see - Judaic Studies (Uh, a class all about Jews? What the fuck was I thinking?), Italian III (I don't even know how I placed that high...), Critical Reasoning, Social Problems, TechCom, and Nutrition. Ugh, another quarter of 19 credits... yikes!

So, today I walk into Italian III and I’m about to die since every word spoken was in Italian and it’s been 2 and ½ years since I took a course dealing with the language. It was rough, but I think once I brush up I’ll be able to pull through. The teacher is awesome and the class seems cool… We’ll see. It was my only class of the day. So that leaves us to now…. I think I’m gonna go take a nap… I’m exceptionally tired considering I have to drastically alter my sleeping habits if I want to make it through the term.

Anyway, I’m off to go enjoy the day. I hope everyone has a safe and exciting week. I miss all of you back at home! =(

Life Lesson: "Never Drink 'Ron' Bacardi" - Words to Live By!
08:44pm 27/09/2003

mood: exhausted
School has been great so far. Yes, a little stressful and hectic, but hey, what do you expect?? I've been having so much fun in between classes, that I hardly have time to write in this thing. But, let's see.... Me and Jeff are getting along great, and it's nice to have someone like him at school with me. I can't wait to get that boy all shit faced and introduce him to all the cute girls at Drexel. We're gonna have a fun year... He's the best! I've been getting to see lots of Dawn, which makes me unexplainably happy... I missed that girl sooooo much during the Summer. She cracks me up like whoa! I'm so glad we have classes together, too, and she gets along with my roomies which is super awesome! And, being super hot like myself, lol, we each scored free Six Flags tickets at the Activities Fair for looking cute - SCORE! Yay to being pretty!!

Shannon came up on Wednesday, where we went to Cosi Cosi, got dinner, and spent some time together in the city getting all shitty! =) Yay... I missed my Shannie! I'm so glad she came up to see me. Thursday, Mary came to visit, and me, her, and Danielle went to Taco Lou's restaurant to get lunch. After food, we hung out for a bit, shot the shit, and hung out around campus. Once Mary left, me and Margaret took a walk over to Penn and went food shopping. Not realizing that we were going to have to lug 4 heavy bags back to Drexel, we stocked up on grub. We had about 10 blocks to walk, so hailing a cab seemed like a golden idea. Well, we got luckier... some dude stopped to talk to us and offered to take us to lunch. I suggested taking us to Drexel instead, which he agreed to! SCORE again!!

Later that night, me, Danielle, Margaret, Leo, and Eric went to Flo nightclub where I ran into my cousin Alexandria, whom I haven't seen in about 5 years!!! OMG, you don't even understand how excited I was to see her. We hugged for about 10 minutes and caught up on each other's lives. Well, she's not my actual blood cousin, but her parents and my parents used to be bestest friends, so I grew up with her and her siblings, who I adore more than life itself. It was sooooo good to see her, and I plan on spending inordinate amounts of time with her! Ahhhhhhh!!! So excited! =)

Friday night was amazing... just like I expected and hoped! Me and Reese had a blast down in Atlantic City at Bally's Casino. We stayed overnight and, despite being gaped at by every living creature the entire trip, we had a great time! Just one complaint, and ironically enough, the lesson learned of this venture... Never, under any circumstances, drink "Ron" Bacardi Superior. There's something in it... it's clearly not old reliable, my trusty "real" Bacardi. Thus, prepare your liquor prior to entering Atlantic City.

Okay, anyway, back to my recap.... Reese came to pick me up at my house around 5:30, and by the time 7 rolled around, we were checked in and explored our room. Apparently you need like 1,000 forms of ID to even get to the elevator that takes us to where we were staying, so no unwanted guests or stalkers could even manage an attempt at finding us. Once we dropped off our stuff, we decided to take a walk around the city to locate Bacardi and Michelobe Ultra Light Beer. Well, no store seemed to carry the cute, little bottles of our beer of choice, so we had to settle with the regular sized 6-pack... eh, we'll just save it for next time...

On the way back, we got whistled at, gaped by, honked towards, you name it, by a plethora of trashy guys... Ugh, enough is enough! We just wanted to peacefully, and safely might I add, make it back to the room without anymore harassment. Well, that wasn't in the cards, but we did eventually make it back in one piece. From there we chilled the beverages and went on search for a place to eat. Pickles Deli won, so we seeked it out. What seemed like forever went by before we finally found the damn place... and let me tell you, it was one of the most unpleasant, yet humorous experiences of my life... and i'll get to why later...

Anyway, after dinner, we went back to room where our alcohol was waiting for us, chilled as ever, prepared to be engulfed... oh, and that's just what we did. We put the radio on and danced like loons to Bon Jovi, spilled ice all over the rug ("Aww.. don't clean it up.. that's what the maid's for!"), and broke out my Bacardi cups for some shot taking. We took pictures, goofed off, and just totally got retarded.... =) After a while, we went down to the casino floor and gambled a bit. Reese won a bit, but her stupid machine broke so she had to stop playing on that one anymore... Boo!! We just went back up to the room because it getting pretty late, and partied around in the room again, had a good time, and passed out while the sun was beginning to rise.

The next morning, the two of us felt completely nauseated and wanted nothing but something to settle our hunger. Since room service was out of the question, seeing is that it was clearly overpriced, we got dressed and headed out. We loaded up the car, searched for free comps, took pictures on an obnoxiously large, fake flamingo, and went gambling. Reese needed connections cards, so we stopped at Caeser's, Trump, and glorious Tropicana, where, by the way, we'll be staying at next time. Awww... Showgirls of Magic! Hooters! Bright Lights! LOL!!!! Tropicana made everything better!! After a few hours of gambling, and losing all of our "jar" quarters, we called it a day and ventured home, blasting Bon Jovi. Always a blast with my Reese! =)

Now, as far as the following goes, here are the highlights of the trip. No one will truly appreciate the amusement except for Reese and I. Well, humor me... read it anyway, and see if you can understand the abnormality of the people in Atlantic City. It's almost unfathomable to justify their ways....

  • Me and Reese walk out of Discount Liquors and a group of guys standing by their car make eye contact with me and proceed to announce.. "Yeah, we be lookin'...."

  • At the restaurant, Pickles, every male employee there gawked uncomfortably at the two of us throughout the entire dinner. Lou, the most obnoxious one, decided that he wanted to "rename" us (Mine being Jacklyn and Reese's changed to Melinda) and introduce "his friends" to the remaining waiters working. I swear we shook hands with about 4 strange men!

  • The stalker server, Lou, forced us to use ketchup, and even suggested that I do some sort of sexual gesture with my knife and bottle to allow it to pour out. Little did I know, I was actually succumbing to his request without even realizing.

  • The black Pat Benatar that Reese managed to get a quick shot of while taking a photo of myself.

  • Last, and foremost, the Scary Old Lady that was seated, unwantedly, along side her husband, extremely close to our table. She was, by far, one of the most racist people I've met. It was rather comical, though, I must say. Take these conversations for example.....

Scary Old Lady - You two are beautiful girls. You should have entered the Miss America contest. You want to be in it? Did you see who won? Miss Florida... she's ugly!"</i>
    Lauren - Yeah, I didn't like her....
Scary Old Lady - And did you see the judges?? They were all black! How could she have lost?? And do you want to know what she said in her acceptance speech? She said that she's going to make sure the minorities are more taken care of then they already are. Isn't that terrible?!?
    Reese - That's Horrible!!

Scary Old Lady - I hate Atlantic City.... too many blacks!! I don't like 'em. I've been called every name in the book by them. Even white trash. But they're the trash. You see, this one time, there was one washing his wheels on my grass! I told him if he didn't leave, I'd call the cops... and that's when he called me white trash!

(Just finishing up taking pictures of each other with Lou, the obnoxious waiter...)
Scary Old Lady - He got to wrap his arms around you.
Reese - I'm sure that was the intent of his picture taking.
Scary Old Lady - Do you like that?
Reese - The attention is nice, but when it gets this incessant, it becomes annoying.
Scary Old Lady - Yeah, I hate compliments. And I hate it when men give me flowers. I don't want them!

Well, it's Saturday and I just got in from dinner at Village Pizza... There is so much going on for tonight. Dawn is coming out with me, Cam, and Margaret. Karl might come up with Nick, Joe, and Mike, but we'll see... I'm super exhausted and just want to sleep, but I think I'll be a trooper, suck it up, and take a shot! =)

Oh, and for those of you who don't know, here's my schedule for the Fall Term 2003:

    Back at Drexel!!!!!!!!!!!
    02:50pm 23/09/2003

    mood: indescribable
Well, I'm back at Drexel and I have just now found the time to update this piece. Lot’s of entertaining things happened, ranging from my beach trip with Shannon, Adam, and Jeff last Wednesday, to the first party at Drexel this past weekend. So, please, sit back and enjoy – WARNING: This is going to be a loooooooong one!

Despite the drama that ended up occurring on Friday night, the evening was nothing short of enjoyable. The morning started off like any other lazy Summer day – I got up, showered, and planned my afternoon by ear. Me and Mary, did however, make arrangements to do lunch (or a late dinner in our case), and make a quick run to the Deptford Mall and K-Mart to pick up a few things.

By 4 or so, the two of us met my Mom at Mozzarella Grill and feasted on some yummy Italian delights! =) Once home, I finished packing up a lot of my clothes for school and started getting ready for the night’s activities. Reese picked me up around 6ish and we grabbed a shop-rite pizza, devoured it, and went on our merry way. We picked up some Bacardi, beer, and Jay, and then ventured into the city. First stop - GENO'S! Reese got a convenient spot right in front of the place, so Jay quickly got his food and we were off. Second stop - DAWN'S!

Once at Dawn's, we sat around taking shots and playing with cameras. We left and headed over to her friend Matt's house to gather up some kids (one of which I later re-named Frito) and venture to a party. We made a quick stop over to Pasqually's to buy more boozes, and then proceeded to some Penn party. It was pretty beat, so me, Reese, and Jay left and started walking up towards Drexel. Dawn later followed, along with Matt, Frito, and ummmm.... the other nameless kid, and we hailed a cab to the TKE frat house.

Once we got on Drexel’s campus, I saw a plethora of my friends wondering all around the streets – Erin, Cam, Nicole, Benji, Lee, Nelly, Alexis, Dan, Su Lin, and Sami. It was like a friggin reunion! Reese got a hold of her brother, Bobby, and we went to visit his apartment. Afterwards, I wanted to meet back up with Sami, so I suggested we’d go to Lamdi Chi. Well, apparently they don’t take male visitors too well, and wouldn’t let the guys in. This prompted me and Reese to verbally attack them, calling them date rapists because they would only allow girls to enter. Their reasoning for not letting the guys in was because they didn’t want “random people in their house”. Thus, I dared the ugly redhead to name the inordinant amount of Freshmen girls that walked past us, into the house. He rejected the challenge – ‘Nuff said!

After not being able to get into Lamda Chi, I decided to take Nelly and Lee’s offer to go to the Delta Sig house. They let our guys in without a problem, but conflict later arose. Reese ran up to me with my bag because she stumbled into the room where we were previously sitting, and saw some random frat guy rummage through it. She told me who was going through my shit, and with that, I kick the kid square in the balls. He tried to tell me he was looking through my bag to find out who’s it was, but honestly, why would he really care???… Thus, I didn’t believe him and continued to argue. Eventually we got thrown out of the house for various reasons and ended up hanging outside on Frat House Row for a while. We eventually got back inside and continued drinking. I called up Spiller, Caleb, and Bayan to come over, so they eventually showed up. I also distinctly remember playing in the backyard of the frat house and on the fire escape with Jay and Reese – LOL!! It was a blast!

Eventually in the night, things got out of hand, and miscommunication, along with drama followed. It you were there, you know what happened, if not, don’t worry about it. Anyway, I ended up back at my house around 5:30am without a key, so I either had to break in, or have someone pick me up and take me somewhere to sleep. Jeff, my knight in shinning armor, came to my rescue. He took me back to his house where I got 1 hour of sleep. He woke me up in just enough time to get my key for my room at Drexel and make it to the flea market to help my mom.

Needless to say, I was pretty exhausted early on in the day. I moved my shit in at school a few hours after the flea market ended. I came back to New Jersey with my parents, had dinner at Chi Chi’s, talked things out with Reese, and called it a night. Margaret and Cam called me ALLLLLLL night to beg me to come back to Drexel, so I had a hard time staying asleep.

The next morning, being Sunday, me and Jeff took our last beach trip of the Summer. I took us to this cute, little spot in Atlantic City that I went to two weeks ago with my Aunt and Shannon. We stayed for a while and then headed back home where I gathered the rest of my stuff and ventured back to Drexel. Nick came along to help, so that pleased me. =) I got in a little tiff with my mom, but last night we resolved that. Once they left, I got together with Jeff, went to California Pizza, and munched on that for a bit. Although I didn’t get to bed before 2:30am, I didn’t really do anything too exciting that night… just hung with my roommates and installed my computer shit.

Monday, that on the other hand was an incredible day!! =) It had to have been the best first day of school I’ve had in years. The weather was gorgeous, I didn’t have to be up too early, and I got to spend most of it with Dawn!! Yay!! Love you!! =) We have at least one class together, and I’m trying to force my way into a second. So, that rocks! Plus, our teacher was a no show, so SCORE there! After classes, me, Margaret, and Dawn hung out for a bit. We went to a free BBQ by the volleyball courts, met up with Jeff and Erik, and then went to go visit Ed at work. After we saw him for a bit, we journeyed over to the King of Prussia mall and had a blast. I talked to Reese and hopefully made her feel better =) I love you sweetheart. And in between that, tried on clothes, met random boys, and helped the girls pick out sunglasses. After the mall, the three of us went to Drexel pizza, feasted, and departed. Well, Dawn left… me and Marge just went back to the dorms. Jeff swung by, picked me up, and we went back to Jersey where we could get some last minute essentials. Once I got back to the dorms, me and Danielle smoked a bit, I passed out, and peacefully slept the night away.

It’s now Tuesday….. I had my first Lit class, which was anything but exciting. Me and Jeff had lunch, and then he showed me around his apartment which is, by the way, awesome!! Now I’m here and killing time before Math – Ugh!!! I’m taking applications for tutors!! =) I need as many as I can get…. Anyone wanna help a girl in need???

The Beginning of an Amazing Week
    02:16am 17/09/2003

    mood: loved
So, judging from my title, one would assume that I'm having an incredible week. Well, I'm doing just that, and here's why - It's my last week of Summer and I've been getting to spend time with almost everyone that I love =) Yay!!!! On Sunday, despite the obnoxiously long brunch that I had to sit through, I was excited to see lots of my family that I don't normally get to see. It was super nice and a great way to start off such a fabulous week!

Monday was, of course, excellent as well. The day started off with a lunch extravaganza with Miss Mary McGinty!! Score!! We tested out the Nifty Fifties that just opened up on the Black Horse Pike - and let me tell you, it was heaven and a half! Between the scrumptious food and the million and one "interesting" people (Pimp Daddy Pink, The 1,000 year old Women, Mr. It's a Good Thing You Got Here Before Me Because I Might Eat Everything in the Restaurant, etc...) to walk through the door, it was quite an adventure to say the least... We split chilli cheese fries, a cheeseburger, and a grilled chicken ceaser sandwich - YUM!! Plus, Mary got a "to-go" peanut butter milkshake that was to die for... MMMMmmmmmmm... perfect way to start the day! =)

After our lunch extravaganza, we journeyed over to Janette's house so that Mary could pick up some notes for one of her nursing classes. We hung out for a bit and played with her bird - complete with the ability to speak and dance. McGinty got that thing all riled up - it was flapping around its wings and bopping it's head like a lunatic... damn, you'd had to have been there for that - pure comedy! "Dance to the music....."

Once we departed Janette's house, we took a short detour to Wal-Mart (AKA Heaven's Handbasket), and got some school supplies. Afterwords, I talked to Shannon and suggested that me and Mary stop by and see her so that we could wish her a Happy Birthday. Steph was already there, so that was a nice surprise. We sat around for a while and laughed our butts off while watching the Florida Senior Trip video me and Shannon made. That tape gets more and more hysterical every time I watch it! I need to invest in getting a camcorder and taping my drunken escapades... that would be an incredible investment!

Later on that evening, I went over Ben's house for a bit. I didn't get to spend as much time with him as I'd liked because I needed to come home to get prepped for my night out for Shannon's birthday. At least I got to see him, though. Before I was ready to go out, I talked to my Reese and she was in the area, so she came by to see me =) We talked for a while and I showed her my half done scrap book - Awww... Memories!! Plus, we gaped at the hot picture of Britney Spears on my cover of Rolling Stone... Britney... Mmmm.... Yum! After a half an hour or so, Reese left and I headed over to Shan's. We waited around for a while for her mom to bring back her birthday gifts and then off to Cherry Hill it was. Originally, we planned on going to eat somewhere in Philly, but Hurricane Isabel had other plans, as we decided not to venture over the bridge because of the awful weather. Instead, I asked her to pick out any place she wanted to eat at and she said The Italian Bistro. Thus, I suggested the nicer one in Cherry Hill. We had a mouthwatering meal and then traveled back to her house for a quiet night in, watching DVD's, enjoying each other's company. I'm happy that out of all of the people in the world, she chose me to spend her birthday with - Awwww! =)

Today, proved to be even better than I expected!! I was awakened by Steph around 11:30am or so and battled with her about how it was necessary for me to shower before going out anywhere. She was aimlessly walking around Camden County, bored out of her mind, and wanted me to come join her in her apathy. I was in no condition to leave, as I was still in my PJ's, curled in my bed. Leaving the house was not an option. Needless to say, I spent the next hour or so grooming myself for the day ahead of me - Sorry Steph... we're gonna make up for it for your birthday tomorrow! Me and my babycakes, Reese, had lunch plans, so around 2 or so, she picked me up and we spent a beautiful afternoon in the sunshine at an outside table at Chili's. Our food was yummy and the dessert was even better - We ate that molten cake like champs! =) The entire time, Reese was fixated on this guy that sat across from us that looked just like her friend, Sid. She even asked him to take a picture, which we took, and then showed him a photo of the "real" Sid.... Oh, and this was just the start of our adventurous day!! Hehehe....

We had an entire day ahead of us but not many ideas as to what to do to fill in the time. After an escapade to find the potty in Sear's at the Deptford Mall, we decided to head to the shore. On our way there, we concluded that we were going to Atlantic City to gamble. The ride down was exciting - complete with road trip music, car swerving, passenger gazing, and kiss blowing - the main ingredients of a perfect drive! Once we got down there, we illegally parked, bled Reese's car of all of it's change, and left a note on the windshield claiming that "We'll Be Right Back" - Ha, yeah... in a few hours.... ("Uh, officer, I'm sorry, I had to go find my Grandmom!!" - CLASSIC!!)

I don't think the two of us had been more gawked at in our entire lives!!! Take these comments for example - "Can I see your ID's.. by the way, you two are beautiful. Have a nice day!"...... "You girls are the winners of the Miss America Pagent"........ and random, "Hello Ladies" that weren't necessary - We were told we were Miss America by at least two people - LOL - Crazy... I guess seeing inordinate amounts of old people makes you really appreciate beautiful, young girls.. hahaha! So, with the change we scrounged up, we played a few slot machines and had a blast in the process. We even stole change buckets to allow us to remember our first casino adventure together - Oh, and we are coming back, with tons of quarters mind you, and my mom's players cards so we can eat and play for free - Yay!!!

The ride back was nice. We even got to see the beginning of the sun setting over the water - It was soooooo beautiful. Dawn called on the way to home and got us both super excited for the this weekend. The plan is --- BIG party on Friday, crash at Dawn's, Reese then takes me to get my key, then back home to do the flea market with my mom, I then move all my shit in, then Reese comes back up to party again on Saturday, spends the night, and then off to the Drexel cheesestake festival or whatever at Geno's on Sunday - SCORE... sounds like a plan and a half to me!! I'm sooooo excited I can't even describe it - I have a feeling this year is going to be so amazing!

Later on, me and Jeff met up to do some clothes shopping, and I went to Sam's Club for a food run for school. Around 10pm, Adam swung by to pick me up so that we could meet up with Mary at Camden County. From there, we met up with Shannon and headed over to T.G.I. Friday's for some late night grubbing. I called Ben and Cody to meet us up there, and Megan as well, but she was at the gym. It was a comical night, filled with the humor that always leads to a fun time out. Eric called me tonight too, so that made me extremely happy! =) And all of that leads us to now.... After writing all of this, I'm about ready to crash. I have a fun-filled day ahead of me - Beach plans with Jeff, Adam, Steph, and Shannon - YES, last shore adventure of the Summer - I'm ecstatic! But anyway, I had such an incredible day and can't wait to go to sleep to have sweet dreams about YOU!!!!

    Re-Living Good Times....
    06:28pm 14/09/2003

    mood: jubilant
Last night was a blast and a half, but it was far from the only adventure of the week! So, let's go back to last Tuesday.... I went into work with my Dad and brother, got a few hours in, and then met up with my Aunt Lil and Mom over at the Flagship Resort in Atlantic City. We started the day off with an early dinner over at Harrah's Casino in Reflections Cafe (The same spot of the nightly food fest me, Mary, and Kate had a little over a month ago). My Aunt picked up her Free T-Shirt and we headed over to the Taj and Resorts to play the slots. My Mom, like usual, kept losing - Poor Mommy!! =( My Aunt and I, on the other hand, each walked out with $60.00 extra bucks thanks to the heaven sent that is JACKPOT PARTY! Score!! Christ, I'm not one that's big on slot machines, but lemme tell ya, this one is addictive... We act like loons when we get to play the bonus game - it sure is a sight to see!

For the most part, the evening was spent gambling and what not. Ha.. who would have guessed it with my family... they are nuts about Atlantic City!! The best part was when me and my Aunt got to spin this huge wheel (Kinda like in "The Price is Right") in Resorts and she won another T-Shirt and I scored myself a mini food processor - Hahaha.. the wheel spinning was exciting, though - I felt like I was on a game show with a huge audience watching me! LOL - Yeah, I'm a dork!

On Wednesday, Shannon and Luke came down to join us for some fun. Me, my Aunt, and Shan spent a relaxing afternoon on the beach after an comical episode of bingo games. The whole time all I kept thinking about was the headache and laughter, that me and Kathleen experienced during our service hours for graduation last year - LOL - It was funny and awful at the same time... ("Can you give me money for the trolley car??", "What's your name deary?" "Lauren." "What?" "Lauren." "Florence?" "No, Lauren." "Lawrence?" - KILL ME!, "We don't need your Help!!!") Oh lord, it was an adventure to say the least.

Later that day, we hit up the Wildwood boardwalk to get some grub at Mack's. Me and Shan then broke from the pack and ventured by ourselves to spend some quiet time before journeying to the casinos again. I fell asleep for a bit while Shannon watched a few movies. I woke up and it was 10:00!! I asked Shannon why she didn't wake me and she told me I just looked too cute to disturb... awww!! =) Once we got situated to go back out, we coincidently parked next to my Mom in the Bally's Wild Wild West parking lot - LOL! Weird! Anyway, Shannon won $120 bucks on her first attempt at the slots - It was great! Time to dance around like lunatics again!! Hahahaha!! We eventually spotted my Aunt in Ceasers and reunited... After a few hours of gambling, we called it a night.

Shannon woke up mad early the next morning and made it to school on time - Damn, she's got some discipline - Yeah, school's gonna be a rude awakening for me... grrrr... well, luckily, my earliest class is at 10am.. Woobie!! My mom decided, after 9 straight hours of gambling to leave at 6:45 in the morning... yeah, also, couldn't do that! So, in the A.M., it was just me and Aunt Lilly... she cooked me up some grub as we waited for Bill. I eventually headed home and got together with Jeff to have Dinner at Chi Chi's and spend a night in watching "Cool World" and "Requiem for a Dream".

I was gonna go into work again on Friday, but I got about 3 hours of sleep the night before, so the day was spent, pretty much, on my lazy ass slothing it up with the best of 'em! On Saturday, plans were originally made to go to Philly with Reese, Jay, Tasha and some others, but things didn't work out. Well, normally, everyone would be in a bad mood and wind up wasting the night, but it was just the opposite. I went over to Jay's house to spend a quality evening downing some Bacardi and shooting the shit. Steph and two of her work friends also made an appearance. The highlight of the night, though, was Cell Phone Smashing Number 3! Following in the footsteps of Sami and myself, Reese decided it was necessary to completely destroy her worthless phone! Yay! Jay set it on fire while me and Reese took a hammer to it - Needless to say, there was almost nothing left of it when we were through!

Last night turned out to be way better than expected. Everyone was at peace with each other, enjoying the company. Things were just, I dunno, perfect - like back during Spring Break when everyone got along. Hopefully this means that things can only get better, and I'm sure they will. Reese, get ready for an amazing Fall!! Yay!!

This morning/afternoon was nice. I went to brunch at the Springfield Country Club with the Iannarelli girls - My Mommy, Aunt Lil, Aunt Olga, Barbara, Patti, Diane, and Marie. In between the eating and chatting, I was kept entertained by texts from Reese and random phone calls. The brunch lasted about 4 hours, but other than that it was nice... just way loooooooong! So, tonight, who knows what's up. Shannon came home from the Shore and it's her birthday tomorrow, so I'm more than likely going to see her. Happy Birthday Sweetie! Muahz!!

Relaxation, Bacardi, Sun, Stealage, and Productivity - My Week in a Nutshell
    03:37am 09/09/2003

    mood: cold
I'm still awake and it's really cold down here sitting at this computer. I probably should be sleeping, but my body is wide awake. Oh well, I'll take this opportunity as precious updating time that I can use.....

So, let's see.... eh, I didn't go all nuts with adventures last week. I really want(ed) to spend my last week(s) here relaxing and enjoying my time at home, because, soon enough, school will be starting and I'm sure I'll miss it. Plus, I was sooooo sick.. yuck! But I finally recovered - Thank God! Leave it to me to get sick once the weather becomes absolutely amazing!

Yesterday, I hung out with Danielle, Jeff, and Danielle's friend, Carlos. We all had a blast, and me and Danielle were just super psyched about moving in back at school that we didn't shut up the entire time. Plans, plans, plans... I better start packing my shit together... it's coming soon! Ahhhh.... Dawn, can you even wait??? Less than 15 days until Drexel is stuck with us again!!

I am extremely proud of myself... I have been rather productive this week. I got my hair re-highlighted, took plenty of pictures to get developed, purchased some food items for school, made some calls to arrange a few meetings at Drexel, made some money at my Dad's dealership, blah blah blah....

As for wild escapades, last Thursday night was crazy.... Me, Mary, and Shannon met up with Kristie and some of her friends for a night at Rowan. Since Sigma Pi didn't throw, we ended up at Phi Kap - Home of one of my favorite Old Navyittes, Steve Sammons! Much to my dismay, he wasn't there =( Boooooo!!! For about the first 20 minutes there, all my efforts were devoted to finding where he was. Apparently, all the brothers I talked to have some sort of beef with him, so I had no luck! Other than that, the night was pretty hysterical. Me and Mary were loaded to the eyeballs - Bacardi does that to ya! I distinctively remember getting into the party free of charge and with no proof of attending Rowan - Nice... hey, all you gotta do is be a little friendly and it'll get you places.. well, sometimes! ;) Shannon's main mission the entire evening was to find the bathroom - and quick - no peeing out in the bushes for her.... I, on the other hand, in a total drunken stupor, have no problem complying with the forces of nature by briskfully walking behind a shady tool shed and letting open the floodgates. The frat brothers and Row Po didn't seemed too thrilled about it, but hey, when you gotta go, you gotta go!

Once we decided to venture home, Mary, drunk like usual, takes the driver's seat and speeds off. From what I can recall, we drop off Shannon and then attempt to call Kate. I have no recollection of this whatsoever, and would never have know the call took place had not Kate informed me about it later. Apparently, Mary called her, and when she was done rambling on about broccoli casserole and what not, she threw the phone to me and I just told her I couldn't coherently form and sentence and repeatedly said "Hello", expecting the answering machine to talk back to me... Hmmm... one word sums me up in a nutshell - SLOPPY!!!!

Today, while all you losers were stuck inside at school, me and Jeff spent a relaxing day on the beach, soaking in the sun. It was absolutely gorgeous out... perfect beach weather. I peacefully fell asleep and thankfully didn't wake up sweating and in dire need of water - it was golden! After a few hours of bronzing by the ocean, we hit the boardwalk for some Mack's Pizza and called it a day. OOooooOOOooo.... speaking of Wildwood... last, Wednesday I think it was, Me and Shannon spent a fun day at her beach house getting drunk off Margaritas, eating Chinese food, playing video games, watching DVD's, passing out for a few hours, and then going on a stealing rampage on the boardwalk. We broke into Raging Water's and deflated and stole a bunch of inner tubes. Hahaha.. I even went exploring and climbed to the top of the highest slide there and overlooked the Ocean - it was beautiful! Luckily, we didn't get caught, and I loaded my car with the tubes and off we went. Illegal fun is the best!

Okay, it's hella late and I have to get up in let's see.... 4 hours, so times a wasting. Talk to everyone later!! Night.. Muahz! =)

    Welcome to September
    12:31pm 03/09/2003

    mood: groggy
Good Christ... September is here??? Not that it's much of a big deal to me, seeing is I don't start school for another 20 odd days or so, but hey, it really does mark the end of Summer!! =( As much as I am excited to go back to Drexel, I know that soon enough I'll be begging to be back at home in my comfy bed, wishing I could sleep the days away with no care in the world... but then we have reality, so I think I'm gonna sloth it up to the extreme for the next two weeks or so.... Yay! Hahahaha!

I went to a few really good parties this weekend. And the funny thing is, I knew probably, at the max, 4 people at each one of them. Usually, when I go to a gathering filled with unfamiliar faces, I don't have a good time (Except for those beginning of the school year drunken college parties - hahaha!), but the other night with Ben and Cody introduced me to what fun meeting new party people can be! The party Friday night was, by far, the best one I went to all week - The most friendly and down to Earth people I've met in a while... such a fun time, and hey, not to mention any type of liquor I wanted free of charge! SCORE! - Free Alcohol is also an immediate crowd pleaser!

On Sunday, I decided to go see my Reesey at work at Planet Fitness. I didn't get to see her all weekend because I was extremely busy or had other obligations.. =( I was originally supposed to go see her Thursday or Friday to give her birthday gifts to her, but I ended up making plans on Thursday and anytime she was free on Friday in between her b-day activities, I wasn't. So, stuff wasn't working out for us... lol, but I didn't mind coming in to see her. We had some nice laughs as I kept her company.

Yesterday, I decided to come into work my with Dad and brothers. Ahhh.. nothing like a car dealership to bring the family closer! Hahaha... Karl and my Dad both informed me of the fun that was to come and to not wear anything provocative when I go there...

Karl - Yo, I'll make sure I introduce you as my sister to all the guys there. They won't give you a second look when they know I mean business!!

Dad - Be prepared to be harassed. Just wear a t-shirt and jeans. Not even shorts! I don't need those dirty mechanics looking at you.

Hahahahaha!! It wasn't too bad.. LOL! I even got to go to lunch with my brothers at Applebee's who treated me on an extremely long lunch break! Yay to that! I might be going back sometime this week, so we'll see - I'm not really digging this waking up at 6:45am bullshit! Although it'll be nice to have some extra money before school starts.

I also got to see some McGinty and Adam this weekend/week, as well as, Shannon. Me, Mary, and Adam went to see "Jeepers Creeper's 2", which was God awful. Jay made me watch the first one last Summer and it was terrible, so I dunno what we were thinking to go see the sequel. Hell, as long as I didn't have to see "Bad Boys 2" I was happy! Plus, I got to see my Mary, so smiles all around!! I missed her terribly! Me and Shannon went on a shopping spree at Blockbuster and Best Buy. I never saw anyone spend so much money in Blockbuster in my life. She bought a DVD player, 3 movies, and a Xena Set. She was like a kid in a candy store when we found the Xena Season 1 on DVD. It was cute, yet scary at the same time. =) Hehehe!

Shannon - (Talking to the girl behind the counter) You don't even understand how excited I am to buy this! I know this may sound corny, but she's my hero!

The girl seemed to get a big kick out of it, so at least she wasn't terrified by us! LOL! We ended up at Best Buy so she could get the second season, and then headed back to her house for a little while before I left for the night. After Shannon's I met Ben and Steve up at Wawa, and then proceeded to Cody's house to meet up with Valerie before going to Bateman's for the night. There was seriously a battle over who got to eat the leftover pasta - I never saw Will so angry in my life! It was ridiculous! Once everyone had a few drinks, peace reigned again.

Okay.. I'm gonna go find something to eat and slug around the house for a bit... Hahaha, sounds like a blast, doesn't it?

    Happy 21st Birthday Reese!!

    mood: energetic
First things first.... Happy 21st Birthday Sweetheart! I hope it brings you everything you want and more! You'll get to see me, so what more could you want? Hehehehe... I can't wait to celebrate and get all shitty with you!! Here's to Drunkenness and a week long Bacardi induced Haze! Yayayayaya!

This past week has been an absolute blast! I picked up Shannon from the Airport after arriving home from her trip to Chicago, before it was off to Cape May to spend 2 days there and Wildwood with her, Emery, and Hannigan. One of the best shore adventures ever - We went goofing off in the Raging Waters water park, ate funnel cake and yummy fries until we dropped, and rode all the rides on the piers until we got sick! It was an incredible way to end the Summer -- well, not my Summer, but everyone else's... I still have another month!

I've been getting to spend a lot of time with Shannon, which makes me happy, because she is home quite often now for school. She still has to commute back and forth from here to the shore for work, but it's only a matter of time before she's back in Washington Township for good! =) Anyone who knows me, knows that I hate the mall... but when I went with her the other night, I had such a great time! I think the main reason was because all of the Halloween stores and paraphernalia is beginning to be displayed and we both love the holiday to death! Between trying on various masks at Halloween Adventures and playing with the decorations at Spencer's, we probably spent an hour goofing off! I can't wait for the Fall! It's my favorite time of the year because the weather is absolutely gorgeous. Not to mention, it's the season of Halloween and my Birthday!!

My mom just had breast surgery on Tuesday, so everyone please keep her in your prayers! But on a better note, I've been getting the chance to spend lots of time with the fam too! I was surprised how much I missed my parents when they went on vacation!! My Aunt came up on Wednesday and made one hell of a feast for dinner! Oh my God.. it was so incredibly delicious! Yesterday, Me, my mom, and my Aunt all went shopping in Springfield - We got some birthday gifts for my Aunt, Uncle, and Kayleigh - Plus had a heavenly meal at Hoolihans. Oh, but the best part of the adventure, by far, was my shopping spree at Charlotte Russe! Ahhh... I love you Mommie!!

Later that day I hung out with Marie Query, Nick, Karl, and the rest of the neighborhood holigans. Me and Nick are planning out an adventure to go down south to visit College Campuses, and of course, to see Kate and Sam!! =) Poor Maria's car is fucked up because of her ex-boyfriend, but she's gonna get him in so much trouble, he'll wish he never even conjured up the idea of keying her vehicle. So, we all chilled for a while before venturing off to Shannon's to watch the MTV Video Music Awards - OMG, did Britney look hot or what.... and what the hell was up with Madonna?? She's crazy, but that's why I love her!! Madonna + Britney + Kissing = HOT!

Eric's last day in New Jersey was yesterday, and I'm upset I didn't get to see him to say goodbye. He asked me to come to Top Dog, but I couldn't make it. Also, Ben and Rocky have been asking me to hang out a lot recently. I have just been so busy and what not, that I haven't had the time... I feel bad, though, but hell what can you do - I'm sorry guys! I'll make it up to both of you! Hey, Rowan starts up soon, so I'm sure I'll be seeing lots of Rocco! Hehehe... Sigma Pi, here I come!

Ah yes, I finally went to the eye doctors and got a new prescription for my contacts - Ugh, it's about time, because I was living on the same pair of 2 week contacts for over a month now... it's wonder why I don't have some eye disease right now! Not only did I overwear them, I slept in them way too much and put them in water instead of solution from time to time... Yikes!! But, uh, Thank you God!!

I just got in from Lunch at Chi Chi's and another fun shopping trip with Shannie. I really don't know what's up for the evening. It's Reese's birthday, so I'm soooo up for a drinking fiesta. Shannon asked me to come to the shore, Rachel is gonna be in the city tonight, and Ben's friend is throwing some bash for his 24th (Reese, if the bar plans fall through with your cousins, we could always hit that up), so my options are all up in the air right now. Oh well, we'll see what comes nightfall. But, before I'm off, once again... shout out to Reese!! Happy Birthday Baby!

OooooOOOOOooooo... Announcement: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY LIVE JOURNAL!!!

I know, I know.. I'm a dork - but what can I say?? It's been exactly 1 year today that I was so fortunate enough to snag a code from the lovely Rose in order to maintain this writing contraption. I have one of the worst memories imaginable, so this journal will help me to recollect the adventures of my young adult life. Looking back at some of my first entries, I see how I've developed as a writer in this thingamajig. I used to write quick, basic entries and update 2 to 3 times a week. Now, I'm into lengthly, detailed ones, updating once a week. Once I get back to school, I'm going to try and concentrate on writing more often. It becomes a chore when you are trying to recap a week's worth of escapades in one sitting.

The past few days were nice. I saw "S.W.A.T." last night. I absolutely loved it. I got to see Steph twice this week, so I was excited. Shannon had a little party on Friday - cute, quaint gathering. Since my parents have been gone, I've been spending a lot of time with Karl, too. We even went to the Turf Club again and played the ponies! =) As far as school is concerned, I'm getting a lot of shit together for it, but I'm still having trouble figuring out if I want to transfer out or not. Eh, I guess I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

My parents come home today.... I still haven't decided whether I'm happy about that or disappointed. That's kinda how I've been feeling lately... Unsure. One minute I think I know what I want, and the next I feel completely indifferent about it. Nothing is ever consistent in my life, and I think that's the main reason why I never feel completely certain.

I noticed a lot of fake-ness within people recently - especially when it pertains to saying things to appease people at the given moment. It is so aggravating. Christ, I don't care who you like and who you don't like, or how you feel about something or not... Don't humor me. Just tell me the goddamn truth - Believe it or not, I can more than likely tell when I'm being lied to, even though I may not call you on it.... Keep that in mind....

But without further ado, Inspired by my friend Jen's Blurty... I present to you my list of the top 10 Hottest Men and Women in Hollywood... and hey, in no particular order either =) Read on!

To the Madness I do Confess, Forever see Myself as Blessed...
    06:20pm 22/08/2003

    mood: sad
Well, Kate left for North Carolina today. I really didn't think I was going to miss her as much as I do already. It hasn't even been 24 hours since I last hung out with her, but I think it's the fact that I can't see her that is making me feel like this. I'll be down sometime in September to see her at Queen's and Sam at Virginia Tech, so I have that to look forward to. I love reunions! Dawn, just 30 more days and Drexel is in Session!!

On Wednesday night, Megan threw a little party at her place. Her parents were down the shore, so it was the perfect time to grab some friends together and booze it up! She didn't get off work until 11:30, so Me, Mary, Kate, and Adam ran around buying some liquor, visited Caitlin at work, and found a place to pregame at. Since my friends are I are partial to tailgating, we found a quiet, dark parking lot that just so happened to be the one that belonged to the St.Charles Borromeo Church. Eh, if I haven't disrespect God enough in my life, I think this was the icing on the cake. We were all kinds of stupid drunk that night.

Lauren - Hey! Did anyone else just see that?
    Mary - What? Where?
Lauren - Just over there... I saw a fairy!
Adam - I think that was just the headlight of a car...
Lauren - No, it was definitely a fairy! It was flying!
Kate - What? Tinker Bell decided to come pregame with us?
Lauren - Nah, she's too high class for us. That was one of her associates.

Oh lord we were hammered! I swear, I thought the light switch in Adam's truck was an alien's face. Hey, that's Peachka for ya! And at $7.99 a bottle, how can you not drink it? When we finally got to Megan's, we finished it off and started mingling. I played golf with Greg and Eric with the plastic set I bought and brought over simply for the ping pong balls. It's been a while since I've seen Eric, so I was excited for his arrival! After the unknown reason of jumping into the pool, Adam got ready to leave and Mary went as well. Once they left, a bunch of guys came as well as a few girls....

Megan - I better invite more cunts, because there is going to be entirely too much sausage here!

For some reason, everyone there was fixated on throwing me in the pool. Joey saved me from this, well, with some help from Megan =) hehehe.. love you guys! Eric and Greg had to go take care of some shit, so they left, but not without Eric saying goodbye *wink* hehe! Kate eventually got tossed in the pool and practically beat the shit out of everyone... but trouble is, she thought she was just playing around.. lol!

Ben - It's all fun and games until the girl with the huge boobs knocks you out!

She almost broke Ben's nose, but he took the pain.. hahaha!! She took her top off and thus, prompted numerous propositions. ("Hey, do you think those things can float?") Good christ! Me and Joey talked for a while... he seems like such a great/cool/sweet guy. Plus, hey, he was my bodyguard for the night! It was getting late and people started leaving. At this point, I was sobering up pretty quickly and some drama took place - but hey - when is there ever a fun night without a little bit of bullshit?? It goes hand and hand pretty much... nothing is ever perfect! Or, taking from me and Jeff's vacation theme, "Nothing's ever easy...".... Ain't that the truth??? It had to have been 6 or 7 by the time I got to sleep. Tom wouldn't let me go to bed until I watched "Phone Booth" with him. "I don't want to be out here alone"... awwwwwww! So I obliged and stayed up until the end, and then pretty much passed out.

The next morning came so quickly because Megan had work by 11, so my night consisted of about 3 hours of solid sleep - not sufficient at all, but hey, I got through the next day! So, Thursday was Kate's last night in New Jersey, so we wanted to make it fun. I called up Nick, and Me, Mary, and Adam ransacked Blackwood liquors before departing for Mare's house for a night of intoxication. Everything was going according to plan, or was it? Mary's sister caught on to one of our self-proclaimed, brilliant lies, and figured out what we were up to. Thus, me and Kate ended up at Ben's house for a bit and then off to Cody's for a party. We were extremely worried about Mary at this point, and I was wickedly tired, Kate as well, from the loooooong night before, so we didn't plan on staying out too late. We intermingled a bit, I soberly broke the flower pot, and we called it a night! Always a interesting night out with my Kate!

So far tonight, Jeff and I went out to Dinner at the Filomena's in Berlin since I've never been there. I'm soooo obsessed with the one on Blackwood-Clementon Road, so I figured why not give this one a chance. It falls short of the excellence that is the one near me, but it was good nonetheless. Our waiter took his job way too seriously and chased Jeff into the parking lot when he left his take-out box on the table.. good christ!! Thanks for another wonderful dinner excursion Jeff! Oh, and thanks for the wristbands.. now my Halloween costume is officially complete! Yay!!!

    QUOTE OF THE WEEK........

Megan - Do you even remember taking your top off last night?
    Kate (Short Pause) No.....
    Megan - Well, you did.
Kate (Holds her head in shame) Uh, why do I always have to be THAT girl?

    Wild, Wild, Wildwood Days!
    04:36pm 20/08/2003

    mood: pensive
The Summer is rapidly coming to a halt. Kate leaves for Charlotte in 3 days, Sam left for Virginia Tech today, my TCNJers leave on Sunday, Hillary goes to University of Delaware in a week or so, Camden County starts next week, and Rowan begins relatively soon as well. I have also come to accept the fact that if I stay at Drexel, this is my last free Summer. This time next year I'll be co-oping or taking classes. Granted, I have two, two-week vacations between June and September, it really won't be the same. That was the main reason I didn't get a job this Summer. I knew that it was possibly the last lazy one I'd have. I love being able to wake up whenever I chose, without any obligations or primary responsibilities. It's a beautiful thing. Sure, I found myself bored at times when I was home alone and everyone was either in summer classes or working, but I wouldn't trade my leisurely time in for the world. I needed this... this freedom, this laziness, this time to discover anything and everything about my life and myself. I needed a vacation from assiduousness.

I had a good couple of days lately, like usual, in fact. I've been stressing about school, though. I've had trouble getting into certain classes since they fill up pretty quickly, and I switched majors recently. I'm finally getting somewhere, but it took some serious effort and persistence on my part. I'd have to say that Drexel is about 50/50 when it comes to faculty that actually gives a shit and the ones that couldn't care less. I've been fortunate enough to find some of the more decent ones in my past year there. It has worked out in my favor, knowing some of the professors I do, to get me the upper hand there. I haven't been able to get into all of the classes I want yet, but I've heard it before and I'll hear it again - The Drexel Shaft is taking its toll on me. Eh, it's only a matter of time before I have another opportunity to either suck it up, bite the bullet, and stay here or venture on elsewhere... we'll see where life takes me. In the meantime, he's a recap of my recent episodes....

Monday: Me and Mary decided that a day at the shore was in the cards for the week, so we planned out a little Wildwood excursion. She really wasn't feeling a morning lounging out on the beach plus, I had a dentist's appointment, so we didn't depart for our adventure until about 1pm or so. Fine by me =) On the way up, we both hadn't eaten anything thus far, so we took it upon ourselves to make a quick pit stop at the KFC in the rest area by the toll's on the AC Expressway. The chicken was what lored us in the rest stop, but the Burger King is what really took us over.. lol! We had some grub and off we went. At this point, we weren't sure what area we were heading to. I decided since Wildwood has the only Dairy Queen that makes Fruity Pebble's Blizzards, that we were going there. Plus, their boardwalk is much more fun and filled with more "interesting" people to say the least.

Between figuring out which island we were going to and having lunch, we didn't get to Wildwood until about 2:30 or so. The first thing on our agenda was to take photo booth pictures (Since I am obsessed with collecting them!!), so we ventured into the first arcade we could find. The pictures are soooo adorable - the perfect combination of silly and cute! Check my Online Photo Album to see them and more! =) GO HERE!!!!!!

After our picture taking spree, the two of us got our heavenly Fruity Pebble's Blizzards that, might I add, are to die for, and did some shopping. Since her sister is due to have a baby in a few months, we picked out a cute t-shirt for him/her. It's yellow and says "Spoiled Rotten By My Aunt"... and that will definitely be the truth! We each got some body jewely - a cute dangly star bellybutton ring for myself and a dangly heart nipple ring for the Miskinsker. SCORE!! =) It's been a while since I treated myself to something, so yay to that! The two of us went to a Gypsy type lady and got a handwriting analysis done. What's with me and psychics lately? I guess I just find them really interesting... and for a buck, this one nailed both of our personalities. The most productive dollar I've spent yet! LOL!! Shannon got off work earlier than expected. We planned on visiting her at Jackson Mountain, but she was gone by the time dinner rolled around, so she met up with us at the boardwalk after she went tanning. The three of us had a blast playing games, losing money, trying various concoctions of pizza, watching people get drenched on the log flume, feeding and harassing the seagulls, and just shopping around. Shan even got herself a new bellybutton ring too!! Around 7:30 or so, me and Mary headed back home to conclude our day out. On the way back, we called up Megan, Nick, Kate, and Adam to make plans to spend a nice night at the movies.

We all met up at Regal theater for the 10:25pm showing of "Freddy vs. Jason" - None of us really wanted to see it, but me and Mary were up for a decent scare, and Adam wanted to have a laugh or two. Well, actually, it didn't matter what we saw because Mary was in our presence. Her obnoxious behavior at the movies leads to comedy, anyway, so humor was pretty much a given for the evening. Needless to say, we had a blast! Mary harassed the usher, running down to give him left over trash, before the flick started, causing commotion amoungst the crowd... ("Uh, you can take your ABC Soda... I'm sorry, I mean your ABD Soda - Already Been Drank... thanks!") The night was filled with laughter, hand holding, face covering, etc... just a quality time at its best. I really do like my sober nights just as much as my drunken ones!

Tuesday: I spent the morning with my Mom. We worked out, then I did some help around the house, tiding the place up before her vacation to San Diego. After I showered and what not, I peregrinated to the mall to do some birthday shopping. I have three coming up, so it was best to get some of the gift purchasing out of the way. I have my mom almost finished, but there a just a few more things to get.... Afterwards, I went on an errand run for my mom to get some last minute travel items for her vacation and then proceeded to Reese's house for the early evening. We reminisced about past bar adventures, made plans for an upcoming excursion, looked at pictures, watched "The Simpsons", and even had dinner cooked by her, ever so delightful, parents. I left and headed home to relax for a bit before going back out. Around 10:30 or so, I got an unexpected phone call from Brandon, whom I haven't spoken to since Christmas or so, and got asked to come party with him at a mutual friend's going away party. Unfortunately there was only keystone light, so I didn't drink any beer, but I did find some Jack that I took upon myself to indulge in. Eh, it's no Bacardi, but hey, it works!

As for today, I woke up, got ready for the day, watched some classic episodes of "Saved By The Bell", had a heavenly, yet very inexpensive, lunch with Megan at Applebee's, and went to Wal-Mart with the biznatch - Christ, I've been there at least 5 times in the last week, and I'm NOT exaggerating! - I'm addicted!! Kate told me I have a problem.. lol, yeah, I probably do.. I think I want to go take my car to get washed... It's probably been since Spring Break since I did.. yeah, that was like 5 months ago. Eh, I'm off to go do that.. but nothing too extravagant - I'm a fan of the drive-it-yourself one at the Texaco - It's fun and el cheapo!

    The Summer Adventures Continue!
    07:28pm 16/08/2003

    mood: optimistic
My past week was very interesting to say the least. I'm so glad that I've been able to spend a lot of time with the people I love because school is rapidly approaching, and I know that after this Summer, things will inevitably be different. What kind of different? I'm not sure... but it won't be the same. It's the middle of August, and everyone is getting ready to go back to College. I still have a month and a half, so I'm not quite ready yet, but I am trying to make the best of my last few weeks with everyone, so.... bring on the craziness!!

Well, I've done a considerable amount of enjoyable things since I last updated. I spent a tranquil night down in Cape May with Shannon. Like the usual trend, the two of us went out to dinner at one of the best Italian restaurants by the shore. Mmmmmm... always to die for! =) We also went to the movies because I promised her that I'd go see "Tomb Raider 2" with her, and I always keep my promises... plus, I'm a huge Angelina Jolie fan, so it's not like it was torture.. hehe! But let me tell you what was torture... the goddamn movie theater - it was freezing in there. Me and Shannon had to keep close together to generate body heat in order to be able to deal with sitting through the movie. Well, besides the minor frost bite, we managed to have a great time - the night was very delightful.

Me and Jeff also had a blast this week. We took a road trip down to Doswell, Virginia to go explore a part of our childhood past - King's Dominion! Both of us have not been there since we were kids, so a journey there was certainly in the cards for the Summer. The car ride there wasn't too bad - Jeff let me dominate the radio, so a permanent smile was plastered to my face. We stopped at Shop-Rite to grab the basic necessities and survival foods (Well, according to me, of course) - Mike and Ikes, Pretzels, and Diet Pepsi. I went almost the entire car ride without a pit stop at the potty, but of course when I needed to finally go, no rest stop was in sight.... Thus, the start of the phrase that pretty much summed up the entire adventure - "Nothing is ever easy!"

We arrived at the Best Western by dusk and settled in. On our way out to get dinner, Dawn came running out of the hotel lobby shouting out my name. I was extremely surprised to see her here... the whole situation was just completely ironic, because part of the trip to Virginia was to stop at DC to visit Jon and Dawn. Me and Jeff were planning on seeing them on the way back, but it's just funny how things worked out. Dawn had a bit of car trouble on her way back from her family reunion in North Carolina and got her car towed. They dropped her off at the closest hotel, being ours, and she waited for Jon to get her. He came to pick her up and we chilled for a little. I wish we all could have hung out longer, but I am glad I got to see the two of them -- it was the first time I have since school ended... oh well, September is rapidly approaching, so a reunion is in order!

After they departed, me and Jeff went on search for a place to eat. Doswell isn't the most exciting place in the world, so there wasn't much to choose from. We went to a Mexican food establishment that we later to decided to call "El Pizza". It was yummy!! After we ate, we went on search for the current issue of Maxim for some nightly shits and giggles... well, that wasn't the easiest task either! We went to at least 5 convenience stores and truck stops to track down this magazine. Well, we finally got the damn thing - A job well done!

So, the rest our trip was just as exciting. We had a blast at King's Dominion. I wanted to buy a shot glass to remember our trip there and add to my collection, but there were none in sight! Thus, subsequently keeping with the theme of the trip, "nothing is ever easy." We both agreed that the best ride in the park was the Volcano Blaster Rollercoaster... it was fun as hell... so unexpected, but thrilling nonetheless. There was this cartoon themed area where I took my picture with a huge cardboard picture of Arnold from "Hey Arnold!" I'm giving you a copy of that, Reese.. hehehe!! Also, we went on the Sponge Bob 3-D Ride that was awesome! I think Jeff even like it.. hahaha! I absolutely hate to get wet on rides, so I refused to go on the water rapids, but I did, however, get convinced to go on the log flume. I got a little wet, but nothing to get too dramatic over. The picture they took of us was hysterical... all you see is Jeff with this excited look on his face and then me - burying my face into his back as to avoid the water that was to come splashing on me. The whole day was a blast!

Me and Jeff had a great time together - Fun at Amusement Parks, Driving around the awful, and very worthless, city of Richmond, Searching for Shot Glasses and Maxim, Finding a Popeye's, Going to Restaurants, Talking about everything in our lives... it was nice. I'm lucky to have someone who cares about me as much as he does. Thanks for everything Jeff!!! =)

The rest of my week wasn't as exhilarant, but it had its moments. Shannon came home for the weekend, so I got to see her along with Redz, Emery, and Stephy. We had a blast chilling out at 5 Points Diner (who, by the way, has the most heavenly rice pudding in the world!) and playing at Create-A-Playground in Washington Township. The 5 of us just had a great time drinking and reminiscing about our high school days. I ended up back at Shannon's house later and passed out while watching "The Lizzy McGuire Movie". I woke up hours later and headed back home only to pass out once again.

Today was nice so far. I slept a lot and hung out with my Mom for the most part. We even had a nice dinner out at Mozzarella Grill - Uh, I love that place... will never get sick of it. As for tonight, Mike is calling me as we speak about details for Dan's party, so I will talk to you all later... Bye! =)

Jackie O Has Done it Again!!!!
    04:48pm 09/08/2003

    mood: lazy
Thanks to the wonderful Jackie O, McDonnell's, Strawberry Daiquiris, Reese, McGinty, and Kettleslut... I just had three more amazing days of Summer! A mixture of relaxtion and intoxication makes for the best adventures ever! As always, here's a recount of my last few days...

Wednesday: In my last entry, I recapped my afternoon with Reese, but that was only the beginning of the fun that the day held. That evening... Me, Kate, Jeff, Mary, and Adam decided that since it was Wednesday, why the hell don't we stumble on over to McDonnell's for $1 night??? So, we all round up over to McGinty's house to pregame a bit before heading over to the bar. Mary's parents were away, staying up at Anna's house for the night.

Kate - So, wait? Where are Mary's parents?
Adam - They are in North Jersey sleeping at Anna's house for the night.
Kate - But didn't Anna and Joe just get married?
    Adam - Yeah.
Kate - Well that's a cock block and a half if I ever heard one. Even the locust outside are getting some ass tonight!

Adam later informs us that Anna and Joe were on their Honeymoon... thank God! So, Jeff whipped out the dreaded 99 Bananas that he had left over from Reese's party that I should have known to never touch again - eh, I wanted to get drunk. Mary was already plenty drunk by the time I got there, so she didn't even need to touch that grossness. We eventually cluttered into Mary's car, Adam behind the wheel mind you, and departed for another bar excursion.

On the way there, Mary decided to hand Kate a bag filled with empty bottles of liquor to dispose of. Kate rolls down the window and shoves the bag out onto College Drive. We could hear the shattering of glass for a while and decided then that taking that road home was not an option! We finally get to the bar and the first thing we need to do is pee like whoa!! From one of our previous encounters at McDonnell's, me and Mary immediately searched for ant hills to crush and cars to pee in between... but before we had the chance, the boys hauled our asses into the joint and more drinking began.

Me, Kate, and Mary loaded up on dollar beers as the boys took down some delicious shots. Sometime later in the night, the jello shot girl was around, and Adam bought everyone four rounds each.... so, you can just imagine how fucked I was at that point! There was much commotion going on by the DJ. People started lining up for a dance contest. I shadily sneaked behind a fake tree and watched as Jeff, Mary, and Kate made asses of themselves on the dance floor. It was no suprise that Mary and Kate made it to the final round - and they can thank it on their obvious "crotch-grabbing" Michael Jackson moves. Mary stole the show, though, as she jiggled her ass in front of the crowd and won the contest! Both her and Kate won T-Shirts and a free cocktail... it had to be one of the funniest McGinty dance displays that I've seen in a while - Pure Comedy!

This is the part of the night that I don't recall, and Mary tends to think it's because someone tried to date rape me, but uh, yeah... we eventually left the bar. Me and Kate got dropped off at my house and decided - hey, we're not completely retarded to the point where we can't stand up... let's get food! - I'm telling ya, one of these days a drunken trip to McDonald's is gonna have me heading to the grave at an early age! Once we devoured our food, we came back to my house, passed out, and woke up at 6am. I was actually awake for Leonid's drunken call, but I decided that I wasn't answering it because it was 6:30 in the morning - but I wish I did now, because the message he left had me on the floor rolling for about 5 minutes! That boy is hysterical when drunk! Me and Kate eventually fell back asleep quoting one of the best movies ever --"Spaceballs"!!! That was forshadowing to what was to come the next night....

Thursday: The afternoon was spent with Reese on her last day in New Jersey for the next week. We started the fun off by taking a trip over to the heaven sent store that has everything, Walmart! She got some last minute things for her trip (Aww.. cute travel sized items!!), plus some experimental food products that we were going to try out that day. After Walmart, we went back to her house since it was raining and spoiled the plans that we previously made. We sat around like the lazy asses that we are and watched "Hey Arnold" and "Outrage at Glen Ridge" - a disturbingly amusing Lifetime flick... I was glad to be able to spend some time with her before she left for her trip to Chincoteague and can't wait to finish up the Summer doing the rest of our planned excursions when she comes back!! =)

That evening, Jackie O decided it was a good night to host another infamous party at the McLean house. Megan, Kathleen, Kate, and Nick got here first. We put on "Spaceballs" while Jackie slaved over the blender, fixing up some drink concoctions. We all eventually gather in the kitchen and drink the night away, babbling along and laughing hysterically. Whenever me and Kathleen drink, we use this strange, low pitched, puppy dog voice when we speak - we created it one day in my basement while we were immitating someone's speech... anyway, it stuck, and we always use it. No one understands it, and even my mom was making fun of us.. LOL!

Jackie O - Okay, who wants a Daiquiri?
    Kathleen - I do!
Jackie O - But you already have a Margarita...
Kathleen - I wanna double fist!
Jackie O - You want a double fifth of what?
Kathleen - Haha.. No, Jackie - I'm double fisting!

Jeff Hanna came by later on and so did Adam and John. Me, Kathleen, Jeff, Nick, and even Jackie O participated in the shot taking. My poor mother took a gulp of Bacardi and almost died. She immediately darted for a a napkin and began vigorously scrubbing her tongue with it. It was a sight to see. Nick always had a nice, fresh, full shot of "something" in front of him and Kathleen was always one step away from chugging it... "Are you gonna drink that???" - Yeah, as if the girl didn't already have enough! On her way back from the shore, Mary stopped by, announcing she got "layed" as she entered the room, and later picked up Justin for Kathleen. More visitors start popping up as the night progressed, including my favorite greasy Italian, Dennis!!! By 2 or so, people began leaving, and me and Kate drunkenly hobbled over to Mike's house.

Kathleen and Justin somehow made their way there and stayed for a bit. Once they left, Me, Kate, Mike, and Ken went to McDonald's, but I was smart enough to not eat it this time! LOL! After driving around for a bit, we go back to Mike's house and chill out in his basement/room for a few hours. Jeff and Jim made it over, complete with a case of Coors Light, and we hovered over the TV to watch homemade videos of our childhood! Ahhh... memories - nothing like being in a drunken haze reminiscing about your youth! Hahaha!

By 5 or so, I finally got to bed and woke up merely 6 hours later... Ahhh, what a night. I decided to mellow out on Friday since two completely heavy nights of drinking was making me ill. I slept, a lot, and just relaxed for the most part. I had dinner at Contardo's with Jeff and went shopping with my Mom. Later that evening, I went over to Adam's house with Mary and Kathleen to just bullshit about the previous night and watch some movies.... all in all, a complacent night.

It's like 5 in the afternoon right now and I just woke up not too long ago. I guess the lack of sleep finally took a toll on me. I'm not decided on what's up for the evening, but I'm sure it can't top the past 3 days I had.. LOL! Alright, I'm off to go find something to eat and be lazy for a bit.. I'll see you all when I see ya! =)

    mood: surprised
Enjoyable.... that single word can describe the past week, thus far. August has proven to be so much fun.. and it is only the first week of the month, so, that means I have tons to look forward to!! Bar Excursions, Para-sailing, Delaware Road Trips, Jackie O Parties, Hershey Park, King's Dominion... ahhh.. I'm sooooo excited!!

I got to spend a lot of time with Shannon this Summer - a lot more than I thought I would, actually. We got to do so many fun things in the past month, and I hope this kind of activity can continue! Let's see... what have we've done so far??? Hmmm... well, we went deep sea fishing, went on numerous boardwalk adventures, ate at all the best restaurants in Cape May, went clubbing/bar hoping all over the shore area, and even saw a psychic - which, let me say, was excellent!!! Almost everything she said fit my life to a tee. It was amazing! But, anyway, back on track... me and Shan have done a lot of awesome things so far, and I can't wait until she finishes up working so that the fun can continue!! Hey, babe, you still owe me a wave running excursion!!

On Monday, me and Jeff started the day off by venturing over to Pizza Hut for the, ever so yummy, lunch buffet!!! Oh my god.. I will never get tired of eating there. He came back to my house after we ate and installed my Scanner - thank you, hunnie!! I then went to WalMart to get picture enlargements to put in these cute new frames I bought for my room at college.. hehehe!! =) Later on, Mary came by, and me, her, and my Mom went to a candle demonstration at Chi Chi's. I didn't get to stay through the whole thing because I was going out to the movies later that night, but I was there long enough to help my mom pick out some cute things for the house, and to devour an order of fried ice cream - ooooOoOoOoOoOooo, sooooo heavenly!!

Me and Mary left and set off to Maria's house to hang out for a while before meeting Jeff and Laura at the AMC. The whole time Maria was molesting Mary... it was quite comical, but I think you'd have to be there to appreciate the humor.. hehe! Like the fat asses we are, we went to Burger King and got food. It was getting late, and we needed to leave to head out for the movies, but Joe wasn't home from work yet. Me and Mary left without them, as to not have Laura and Jeff wait too long for us. We all eventually met up at the theater and enjoyed a night of laughs watching "American Wedding"

.....Well, a night with Mary wouldn't be complete without some flavor, right? Yeah, you know what I'm talking about.. well, me and her decided to spice up the flick a bit and take shots of Bacardi. Well, all was well until I placed the huge bottle on the ground in front of my feet, and Laura kicked it on her way back from the bathroom. Needless to say, the bottle made quite the commotion as it rolled down about 20 isles! LOL, it had to have been the funniest part of the night! Me and Mary confiscated the bottle when the theater emptied out... hey, we can't waste even one shot of Bacardi!

Tuesday, me and my Mom got to spend a lot of time together. We each went to get our hair cut. Since my hairdresser is out on Maternity Leave, I had to be risky and get it done by someone else... eh, it isn't that bad... shorter than I asked, but the way she styled it was hideous!! Christ, even my mom made fun of it!! "You look like Farrah Fawcett from Charlie's Angels" - Thanks mom!! Well, I'm sure I don't even need to tell you, but, I rushed home and washed out all the goop she put in my hair. Me and Jen then met up and went to see one of Jay's baseball games out in Collingswood. He won, which was nice.. but we all didn't get to hang out that long since I had family obligations. Me, my mom, my cousin Steve, his girlfriend, Estelle, and their little girl, Nicole, all headed out to get dinner and then up to some acting convention for kids in Mount Laurel. I was originally asked to take Nicole there, but somehow, we all ended up going... eh, it was cute, though. She got picked to be interviewed by some talent agency in NYC, so, go her!! Hehehe. After we parted ways, me and Mom went to Friendly's to get some Ice Cream to complete our day together.

Today has been great so far. Me and Reese spent her lunch break together at Bertucci's. She even made me the cutest present ever!! Love ya sweetie! =) She told me all about the Jamie fiasco, so that was entertaining... plus, we had delicious food and got to drive around singing ghetto rap songs... always a pleasure! I can't wait until we get to do it for hours on end on our next road trip.. lol!

Well, I'm off.. another night at McDonnell's is calling my name! Reese, have a great time in Virginia, and I'll see ya when you get back!! Muahz!! I'll leave you all with this quote from Monday night... Later everyone....

Mary - Maria keeps telling me we're getting married.
Lauren - Well, I don't care who you marry, as long as I get to be the Maid of Honor!
Mary - If I marry Maria, you'll get to be the Maid of Honor and the Best Man!

    Rain, Rain Go Away!!!
    04:49pm 01/08/2003

    mood: jealous
Okay, I've been checking out the weather for the next week... let's see.. well, it predicts that it's going to rain, non-stop, for the next 8 days!! What is this horse shit?? Grrr... well, it better get this out of it's system in time for my 'lil trips coming up - Otherwise, punches will be thrown!

The past week wasn't too wild or drama filled... it was relaxing and calm. Kinda needed it. I don't think I appreciate all the free and leisurely time that I have, and this week, I actually used it to rest up and well, be lazy. As Steph calls it, I'm enjoying my "5th Grade Summer" - no job to worry about.. no school classes to attend.. no obligations to partake in.... it's like I'm a kid again and can pretty much do whatever I please with my free time, you know, like like those grade school days... ah, livin' lazy!

Lauren - So Ruby Tuesday's is hiring?
Steph - You can't apply there?
Lauren - Well, I wasn't going to.. I don't actually want a job.. I could have one, but I choose not to.
Steph - Good, 'cause that would have ruined your plan for the laziest summer ever... How do you like that... Your 5th Grade Summer?? It's like you are a kid again!

So, what did I do all this week?? Hmmm... well, on Monday night, Me, Kate, Brett, and Karl went to the movies to see "28 Days" and then snuck into "Seabiscuit".. we were seriously at the movies until like 2 in the morning... "Seabiscuit" was 2 and a half hours, plus it started late, so you can only imagine... it didn't seem long though, because Karl and Kate are both sooooo obnoxious and made me laugh the entire time! =)

On Tuesday, I had to go to Drexel to take care of some Co-op bullshit and sign some papers. I saw Sami there, which was cool.. I missed her alot!! She showed me her new apartment that she moved in to... It's way cute! I can tell that I'll be in there pregamming quite often! It'll be so much easier to sneak alcohol into these new apartments than it was in the tiny 4x4 boxes that we used to live in... well, not that it was really hard to begin with.. now it'll just be more convenient... hehe!

Around noon or so, Me, Kathleen, and her boyfriend, Justin, took a little day trip to Ocean City... the weather wasn't the best, but I still managed to get some color. Dennis had to work, so he couldn't come =( The "Greasy Italian" was missed, but we placed a shovel on my blanket to represent him... I would turn it every now and then so that he was able to get a nice, even tan.. hehehe - Yeah, I'm a dork.. but you all still love me! =) We took a brief intermission from our "sex talk" on the beach and went on the boardwalk to get some lunch... the evil food court nazi was not present - SCORE!! After grubbin' for a bit, me and Kathleen each received sad phone calls from Berger - the poor guy is being sent to Iraq and isn't coming home this weekend =( I'm sooooo upset.. I miss him so much and I am extremely worried about him. What if something happens to him??

After that bad news, me and Justin fell asleep to the Ben Affleck/J-Lo love story in an article from US Weekly that Kathleen read to us... "Kathleen, please read to me.." - LOL! We woke up and got ready to leave about 4:30-5ish. On our way out, there was a very comical episode of seagull play - lol - this huge seagull picked up a full slice of pizza out of the trashcan and about 20 more birds fluttered over to participate in the spectacle... they were all fighting over the pizza. It was the funniest thing all day - Jesus, those birds take food very seriously!!

At night, I went to the Stained Glass Eatery with my parents to get dinner. Once home, Mary stopped by after her class to bullshit and look at my pictures from our first extravaganza at the Casino. Later on, Mark and Steph came to pick me up and take me to Harper's Pub. It was nice to see Stephanie and Reese.. haven't seen those two in a while. I had a nice time talking, looking at my pictures, throwing ice at Reese, doing pen tricks with Steph, and hiding in the bathroom to take shots... hehehe - Steph kept asking me to hit her over the head with beer bottle... hmmm.. sorry hunnie, I love you too much to do that!! I got home around 2:30ish and played Slingo online with my Mommy.. hehe.. that women loves the Casino way too much!!

The rest of the week was relaxing... I fell asleep during a bonding night with my mom, watching "What Women Want" - It was a cute flick. I went to see Laura and the baby. We went shopping at the Deptford Mall, and later that night, met up with some of her friends at Friendly's to get some ice cream - yum!! I also got to see Jeff as well. It was the first time I saw him since the day after the fiasco at Reese's house, so I missed him alot... We had dinner at Kaminski's on Thursday... I even made him sit through the black comedy, "Deliver Us From Eva" - hahahaha... sorry babe!! You know I love you for putting up with my awful music and movie choices.. hehehe! And, the absolute best part of the whole week, thus far, well, besides my suprise call from my sweetie from Drexel who's in the Carribbean, was my shopping escapade with my Mommy... I got a new purse, 6 new shirts, a pair of khaki shorts, black pants, and some school/apartment items.. yayaya!! We even did lunch.. I miss my shopping trips with mommadukes.. it was nice to spend some time together outside of the house - Love you mommy!! =)

See I don't know if I can handle you as just a friend
Aww baby I can't pretend, aww baby I'm so far in
But I don't mind as long as I could have you in my life
Aw baby I'm satisfied, even if you're not just mine

    Back to the Casino!

    mood: bored
Now that things have worked themselves out, life is once again golden! I think I worry too much, I mean honestly... I take everything to heart and try so hard to solve every little problem, that I'm missing this simple issue or root of the ordeal. Not just in my recent situation, but all. I think too much, too... I need to ease up. I know things were gonna get fixed, but I think I've now just realized to not dwell on it soooooo much - if something's supposed to happen, it will, and I just need to comprehend that... I was just so worked up and thought I fucked things up for good... but in reality, I have great friends that can work through this kind of shit, so, time to smile!! But anyway, all my little issues have been worked out beautifully... All is good, and everything is back to normal!

Friday was nice... Shannon was home from Cape May, so she came to pick me up to go Deep Sea Fishing. Shannon conveniently didn't call any of her friends to confirm the trip, so it was just the two of us... it was nice to just spend some time with her, though. I like her friends and all, but I miss my Shannie time.. hehehe. We grabbed some lunch at Burger King, made a pit stop at her house, and finally, ventured over to the docks to hop onto the boat. We literally just made it there... with only about 5 minutes to spare. We got on that bad boy, settled in, and sailed out to the deep sea. At first, Shannon was catching more than me, but I didn't give up... hehehe. It was my first time deep sea fishing, so I was excited when I caught things. We were out there for a pretty long time, so you can imagine all the sea sick people... ugh! The couple next to us looked like they were gonna heave, and kept getting their lines stuck on mine.. eh, it's was getting irritating, but what can ya do.. shit happens....

It was about 5 o'clock when the boat docked and we were on land again. The two of us were contemplating about what we were going to do for the rest of the day. I told her that I had plenty of money with me, so whatever she wanted to do, we could.... LOL - we ended up going out to dinner at Pasta Cheech! That's my Shan... loves her Italian! =) hehehehe! When we got back to her house, we weighed out our options for the evening -- My friend Steve and some of his buddies were going to a bar, there were a few clubs we could have gone to with friends, or go hang with Mary and Adam. Since Shannon hasn't really seen those two in a while, we decided to meet up with them - it was a nice treat - since this is the first I got to see them since the little tiff. Mary offered us some Bacardi, but I couldn't even contemplate touching the stuff, plus, I knew I was going to be doing enough drinking the next night to last me the entire weekend.

Saturday was the day of My mom's little shindig. Her, my Aunt Lil, and three of their girl friends from their neighborhood growing up came over for some cocktails and dinner. When I walked in from Walmart that afternoon, I was greeted by a half-lit Millie.... "You little bitch! What, we're you too good to come to my party??" - I love that woman... she cracks me up! The F bomb was flying out of her mouth left and right.. it was hysterical! About an hour late, Aunt Lil, Cathy, and Connie arrived. They began their happy hour and that's when the madness began - LOL! They blasted the 70's Station on the Digital Cable and were dancing and singing all over the house -- now, if that is how I look when I am intoxicated, someone please dispose of me immediately! My mom came up to me and was like "Where's my fan club?" - good christ! That prompted me to call Kathleen and later on, Kate. Kate convinced me to bring her a Margarita. So, I ditched the gathering for a bit to go visit Kate at work. We got in touch with Mary, finalized our Atlantic City trip plans, and I left. I came back to my house, had dinner, yummy desert, and got ready for the night's activities...

By 10:30 or so, I picked up Kate and we were on our way to Harrah's Casino in AC. As usual, the ride there was hysterical, compliments of Big Tit!! Hahaha! All was well until we went through the tunnel and approached our exit to the Casino. The fucking Jitney totally did NOT yield and cut me off majorly. That propelled me to slam on my breaks and lay on my horn for a good 60 seconds... "Fuck You Jitney!!!!!" - Even though we almost died, it was a very comical situation... We finally got to Valet, left the car, and surveyed the hotel for a good 25 minutes before we made it to Mary's room. The bridal party was all dressed and ready for a night of drinking. They left before us, so, this gave me, Kate, and Mary a chance to pregame for a bit. I took one shot of Bacardi and almost vomited my dinner... ewwww... it was easier for me to handle the Jack Daniel's than that.. ugh!! What's happening???

We could all only hack like 2 shots a piece, so we left to room to meet up with the bridal party. They didn't have enough room in their car to fit us, and I was sooooo not gonna drive, so we hopped on the god-forsaken Jitney.. how ironic!! Hey, it was only a $1.50, so we were pleased. The ride their was also quite humorous.. me and Mary were starting to feel our buzz, so we were acting obnoxious as usual. I started singing Brian McKnight's "Back at One" to this scary, old and decrepit man siting parallel to me. A few horrifying Puerto Rican's were bothering us as well, ewwww... like we'd give you the time of day - lol, well, I did wave back to them, but still.. ew! We finally got to the bar and were on search for Meggie, Patty, Leslie, and Ana... it took us a while to find them, because they were in the outside section - ugh, who knew there was an outside bar to this place? Well, we finally met up and were also introduced to a bachelor party that was mingling with them. The whole time, me and Kate kept forgetting all of their names... it was a shame, though, because they bought all of our drinks.. So, in order to remember their names, Kate gave them nicknames -- "Groom to Be / Stalker" (Christian), "Seabiscuit" (Jonathan), "Carish Eyebomb" (Jerico), "You're Fat and Have Red Hair" (Uh??) "That guy that was in that Movie" (Mike), and the rest weren't important enough to have a name... lol!

Christian - So, where do you guys fit into this whole bridal party thing?
Lauren - Oh us?? Oh, we're not a part of this... we're just the drunken friends.
Kate - Always a drunken friend, never a bridesmaid!

Banya from Seinfeld was there too... ya know, the annoying Comedian that Jerry hates.. well, Kate kept jumping in the pictures that he was taking with people! Haha.. she pissed a lot of people off that night. The whole night I was busy fighting off the groom to be that was following me around the whole time. I kept convincing him to not do anything that he would regret, but he kept telling me how beautiful I am and just wanted to hear me talk to him about my life. I was extremely drunk, so I went into my entire life story.. I also explained to him my current relationship situation and he just gave me great advice and left me with two words that I should have always lived by: "Don't Settle" - As stalkerish as he was, he was very sweet... his fiance is very lucky, well, except for the whole he tried to hook up with me thing...

The rest of the night was filled with shots of Washington Apples, Irish Car Bombs, Obnoxious Pictures, Crazy Dares, and Klepto Activities... Leslie almost got arrested for stealing the "Caution: Floor May Be Slippery" sign and Mary had to come up with a lie to the waitress when I stole a votive candle holder for Ana. Kate was dared to take a shit in the Men's room... and uh, she did... lol! A lot of more crap went on, but I really can't recall it all... eh, well, it was getting late, anyway, and we decided to head back to Harrah's. Problem was, where the fuck was the Jitney this time??? Kate decided to wave at a car full of random guys. They stopped, and we got in. They took us back to the Casino, no questions asked.. lol - what were we thinking! The driver kept glancing at me through the review mirror, so I was like "Christ, he's gonna ask for sex for this ride!! Ugh!" - we got there and we all gave him and hug and he def tried sticking his tongue down my throat.. ugh, I don't even know you!!!
Once we got back, the three of us were on search for food. We found a place and stuff our faces like whoa!! Afterwords, we gambled a bit before calling it a night.

    Mary - Kate, I just lost $50!
Kate - What??? How??? I've been playing on $5 longer than it took you to lose all that money!

When the sun was coming up, that's when we decided it was time to go to bed. Me and Kate had to sleep on the floor. Yeah, if I thought last weekend, sleeping in a bed with 3 girls was bad, I was mistaken - that was by far the worst night's sleep of my life. I was freezing, my hip bone dug into the floor and Kate was breathing on my face. The two of us had to spoon in order to share the blanket - LOL! Kate and I contemplated leaving in the middle of the night, but we were both still too drunk to go anywhere. I woke up with neck spasms and drove half-way home dehydrated. The two of us stopped at the scary rest-stop, got huge bottles of water and journey back to my house we were housed all the leftovers from last night's dinner... ah, heavenly!!

Sunday was spent sleeping most of the day away... I didn't do that much.. wasn't very productive, until the night. I went out with Jay for a while... got something to eat and hung out at his house. Then during the wee hours of the night, me, Danielle, Jen, and Nicole went to Shampoo, It's been a while since I've went there... nothing's changed.. still getting groped, but we have a system in order to get ourselves out of those kinds of situations.. lol - works like a charm! Nicole drove, so we the three of us were happily taking shots of the grossest vodka EVER in the backseat - so, I take away the "happily" in the taking shots scenario. After clubbing, we went to the Starview Diner and pigged out - ugh.. all these late night food fests are gonna make me fat!! Yuck!! Alright, I'm off to go do nothing.. I'm all alone in this house and soooooo bored... ugh!

    Drexel Can Suck It!

    mood: annoyed
My entire Summer flipped upside down, once again, in one instance... funny how that has happened twice already - makes me tend to believe it'll probably happen once more before school starts back up again.... Anyway, hopefully everything will work itself out.. it usually does.. I just know that this time I screwed up badly....

So, I think I left off at Saturday.. yeah, that's right. Anyway, I felt like absolute hell that day and pretty much slept for the most part. Mike and Rich kept calling me to go to some party, but drinking was just NOT an option for the night. Instead, I convinced Shannon to come home for the evening and spend the night with me. She cooked for me.. awww... cute!! =) It was my FAVORITE pasta dish ever!! After I ate, we decided to go into the city since it was such a beautiful night. We went to Cosi Cosi, this cute lil coffee shop/sandwich joint... they're all over the place in Philly. We just chilled out, caught up on each other's lives and had some drinks and a snack. Afterwords, we took a walk and went window shopping. We went into this cute little book store and stayed in there forever.. it was sooooo interesting!! It was getting late, so we ventured back to her house, watched some TV, and I went on my merry way back to Blackwood. All in all, a very enjoyable evening.

Sunday was OUT OF CONTROL, but not the entire day. First, it started out pretty mellow. I slept in, went to lunch at the Olive Garden with Jay, and made an attempt at going to church - but the damn place had mass at 5pm instead of 6pm, so I missed it.. F! Oh well, you saw my attempt, though, right God? LOL! Once back at home, I talked to Reese and she invited me to a party at her house... so, seeing is that all, well, not all, but most of my friends around here aren't particularly fond of her or they live too far away, I called up Jeff to see if he wanted to come with me. He said yes, and was on his way over. Hillary and Danielle were supposed to come too, but everything got confusing... eh, there's always next time....

Me and Jeff made a stop at Cherrywood Liquors, got 99 Bananas (Which partook in my near death later that night), picked up two slurpees, and were on our way. Once we got there, me, Stephanie, Reese, and Jeff began the shot taking...

    Reese - Okay.. Round 1!!
Steph - What should we drink to?
    Lauren - To drunkenness!
Reese - Okay guys.. time for Round 2! What should we toast to now?
    Lauren & Reese - Drunkenness??
Steph - We already drank to that!
Lauren - Well, we're drinking to it again!

The night progressed, and more people showed up. I got a phone call from Mike Cavanough, and being the complete drunk I was, invited him and Rich to come over. I attempted giving him directions, but didn't succeed too well. He eventually got there, and I was completely bombed.. I don't remember a minute of it.... eh, I need to be a more cautious drunk.. one day I'm gonna end up date raped - okay, that was horrible to say, but when you go countless nights not remembering what you did, it isn't healthy! Anywho, I don't remember much of the rest of the night. I played beer pong with some guy there. We played against Mark and some other kid.. lol, yeah, I'm soooooo good with names! After that, it's a blur... someone took me to bed, where I passed out for like 3 hours, woke up next to Reese who was also unconscious, found out Jeff got in a huge fight and got thrown out, and stumbled downstairs where Mike informed me that he got kicked out and was going home. I was furious about what happened to Jeff, that I booked with him... how we got home will remain a mystery... I once again, had to break in.. ugh, that's getting rough!

Monday was spent trying to feel better.... I felt like absolute shit again! Tuesday was much better... during the day, I had a little secret fun in my baby's office.. hahaha.. very enjoyable. At night, I ventured in Philly and Northeast, PA to visit some friends. Rachel met up with me at the King of Prussia Mall. She took me on a tour of the ghetto known as Norristown.. ewwwwww... so scary!! "You can find me at Big Bob and Miss B's... this is my crib.. this is where I BE!" LOL!!! Then, we headed over to 7-11 to meet up with Morgan and Gina. We just stayed there and smoked until some dot head employee kicked us out of the parking lot.. eh, get the hell out of my country! We just went back to Gina's house and stayed there for a while. Rachel was sick, so she wanted to go home early... so, I headed back to Jersey. Out of nowhere, I get a call from Jeremy. He and some of the guys from Myers were all hanging out at Caleb's apartment in Philly, so I ended up there. It was sooooo nice seeing them! They were all sporting their 40's, but I still wasn't ready to drink again yet.. lol!

Wednesday was relaxing. Reese got her tongue pierced the night before, so I took her to get some water ice to make it feel better. Ahhh... it was heavenly... "Yeah, you def shouldn't have went to Jersey Devil.. I have a friend that went there and now her taste buds are all fucked up..." "Oh my god!! I don't know what I would do if I could never taste water ice again!!!" - LOL! Afterwords, we went back to her house for a bit and she took me on a tour of her disaster of a house... ahhhh... parties are never a good idea, but boy, they sure are fun!! We watched "Me, Myself, and Irene" and then I headed home for some grubbin'....

The evening was even more relaxing.... stayed in, perfectly content, and watched movies with my dad.. ah, bonding at it's best! The poor guy has been slaving over the laundry room, renovating it, for days now.. I feel soooo bad =( Later, me and Jay went to Friendly's to get ice cream and he took me home. Mike invited me out to party with him and his friends, but I was soooooo not in the mood. I needed a quite night at home for a change.

And now, today... eh, what a fucking headache. I had to go to Drexel to sign program change forms.. what a bitch that was. I had to go back and forth to like 5 different buildings since no one knew what the hell they were talking about... and the worst part is, I got almost nothing accomplished!! I have to go back Tuesday morning to take care of the rest of the bullshit - ah, wonderful.. anyone wanna accompany me? Nah, totally kidding.. wouldn't wish that on ANYONE! Ugh! Well, I came home, took a much needed nap, helped my mom clean a bit, and talked to Amanda and Jay, both of whom made me much happier!!!! =) Love you guys!! Well, I'm off to go try to fix the broken relationships with my friends... wish me luck.. I dunno if I could handle it not working out =(

    mood: nauseated
Hmmm... so it's been what? Well over a week since I last wrote in this piece.... so technically this could possibly be the longest journal entry ever, but I'll do my best to spare you all and make it as short as can be -- 'cause we all know I have a tendency to overwrite in this thing... =) Anyway, instead of recapping every day since the last update, I'm just gonna write about my crazy last few days and highlight anything fun or interesting that happened in the last week. Hope everyone is having as fun of a summer as I am!!

Thursday: Well, today was the night of the longly awaited Casino trip in Atlantic City. Originally, me, Mary, my Mom, and my Aunt Lil were supposed to be spending a night gambling, drinking, and partying it up at Ceaser's, but somehow, at the last minute, there was booking confusion and we ended up staying at the Trump's Taj Mahal instead - It was absolutely gorgeous! That place was awesome.. and our room was sooooo nice! I'm dying to go back already! Anyway, once we were all there and got situated, we headed down to the Casino rooms and played some slots before heading off for dinner. Mary, with a huge bucket of nickels was a sight to see. She was spilling them all over the place as she was leaning over, playing two slots at once... LOL - She's already addicted!

So, after a bit of that, we trekked on over to some restaurant for Dinner. After what seemed like a three hour meal ended, we hit the boardwalk for a few. We were on a search for a dollar store that sold Cranberry Juice for our cocktails.. eh, no such luck! =( Oh well.. we wandering back to the room and started drinking. My main goal was to get my mom to take shots with me....

Mom - So, what you're telling me is that you can't just sip on a drink and be content? You have to get wasted?
Lauren - Yeah, pretty much... I mean, what's the point of wasting calories on a drink that doesn't really even taste good... might as well get retarded. I drink for one reason - to get drunk.
Mom - That has to be the worst thing I've ever heard in my life!

LOL.. don't talk mom.. 'cause about 20 minutes later I had her taking shots with me... and I've got pictures to prove it! So, we stayed in the room for a while dancing like asses, making drinks, taking shots, and just BSing... it was enjoyable. Around 1 or so (Hey, I'm guessing here, since I have no concept of time when drinking) we ventured downstairs to the slots.... All of us were feeling pretty good... well, me and Mary were completely gone, so I was pretty much passing out as I was playing. My mom kept ordering me and Mary drinks.. 'cause that's exactly what we needed, lol! "The trick is to give them a good tip so they keep coming back..." - I swear, I had more vodka and cranberries than I knew what to do with. Mary spilled her drink all over a Monopoly slot and it ate her money. Being the ass that she is, she found an attendant and told them the story. They took her ID and wrote out a check that they are going to send to a fictitious address in Delaware.. LOL! That was pretty pointless, Mare! But still, the ID's work like a charm like usual! Golden!

Me and Mary were getting bored of gambling and wanted to check out the night life of the city. My mom made me promise to not go to any bars... heh, I broke that one real quick... "Laur, let's just tell your mom we're gonna go cash in and head up to bed.." Well, that plan would have worked if we didn't bump into my mom and Aunt hours later when we stumbled back into the Taj, but that will be mentioned later...

So, the whole walk over to the Irish Pub and the rest of the night until we got back to the Casino was a riot.. here are the highlights..

  • "The party never ends at the Irish Pub" - Some scary and shady Old Man that was promoting the bar in such a nonchalant and extremely slow tone of voice.. he was completely unenthusiastic about his job.. anyway, me and Mary walk up to him and go.. "A 24-Hour Bar? Oh, we're there.. and I'll buy you a drink!"

  • "Mare, doesn't that pole look like a really huge vibrator?" - Hahaha!

  • Entering the Irish Pub during the dark hours of the night and leaving in complete daylight.. "Oh my god! It's light out.. my mom is gonna kill us.. how long were we in there?!?!?"

  • Meeting a couple of guys in the bar - Chris AKA Dickhead and Lou... "Laur, at least your guy is buying you drinks... my asshole lost $800 at the blackjack table and I just bought him a beer!

  • Walking in on Chris and Mary making out in the Women's rest room....

We finally left the bar at like 7am and walked back to the Taj. Upon entering, we were greeting by my still drunk, and very awake mom and Aunt. They weren't mad at us at all.. just pretty excited that they found us.. yeah, I'm really sure they were looking around for us.. drunks - they were probably playing slots, pretending we were up in the room sleeping... Anyway, we introduced the guys to them and went our separate ways... "Those are NOT boys.. they look at least 25-26" "Actually, Mom, he's 28!" - LOL!! After a while of watching Lou gamble, I all of a sudden up and walk away from him, locate my mom, and fall asleep playing a slot. She takes me upstairs to go to bed... What's the point of sleeping for 2 hours!! Apparently, a lot occurred during that short period of time that I sooooo wished I saw.. dammit! Anyway, Mary lent Chris some cash to gamble with, and he, of course, lost it. Mary stalked him all over the Casino and even tackled him as he tried to run away from her. She followed him on the elevator and headed over to his room, only to have the door slammed in her face. She left to go up to our room and get her pillow.... "I'm going to sit outside his room and wait for the bastard to leave so I can punch him in the face!" Well, that plan didn't work too well. Two security guard found her asleep in the hallway and woke her up. They told her she couldn't sleep there and escorted her back to our room.. Oh christ! What a night!

The next morning we packed up our shit and headed over to Claridge for breakfast. Adam came down for the day since he wanted to go on the beach. After breakfast, me and him layed out and the girls went Casino hopping for a bit. Mary wanted to attempt to win everything she lost the night prior, and she did just that!! Plus, she won an extra $20! Nice! A few hours we packed up our shit and got ready to venture home. Adam had to go in to work, so he left with me and Mary. All me and Mare wanted to do was sleep, so we came back to my room and passed out for a few hours in my room. We eventually got up, since we had plans to go party at Mike's house. We finalized everything, got booze, and headed down to Buena for another wonderful barn party... ahhh.. reminds me of last Summer! =)

Once at the party, the drinking began. Me and Kate decided, then, that the pussy drink Mary bought wasn't gonna get anyone drunk, so we took shots and just used it as a chaser... "I've got a good idea... let's use this Jack drink instead of beer and take shots along with it when someone gets the ball in one of the cups!" - Yeah, great idea right there... by 11pm we were completely retarded. Some totally annoying kid, Dan, kept following me around like a lost puppy the entire night.. yeah, like I don't have enough stalkers as it is.. I certainly don't have room for another one! This kid Rich kept bringing up test tube shots for me and Kate... we each had like 10 or 11 of them.. YUM!! This probably explains Kate's sickness later on in the night, though...

It was getting late, and we made plans to chill at Brocco's house with his cousin, so we headed there. A 100% drunk Mary drove us there. Kate was completely passed out in the back, except for her sporadic urges to open the door and puke out of the car as we were driving. Once we got there, we left Kate in there to sleep away her misery and headed into Brocco's house. We didn't plan on staying too long, but what was supposed to be a quick visit ended up being hours long. We finally left by like 6:30 in the morning.. Christ.. these early mornings just aren't doing any good for me. I had to drive Mary's car back since she was, yet again, in no condition to drive. The three of us got back to my house. The screen door was locked, and I didn't have a key to it, so I had to break in... "Kate, watch.. Lauren's like Hudini.. she'll reappear at the door and let us enter in a minute!" We trekked up to my room and passed out like whoa! 3 Drunk Girls + 1 Bed = Worst Night's Sleep of My Life! By 11ish, we were all up..... Mary left for work and me and Kate went to get food. After that, I passed out for a couple more hours, and now I am here.. feeling like absolute hell! =(

Anyway, the resf of the week was almost as enjoyable... I saw "Pirates of the Caribbean" and "Terminator 3", both of which I thought were pretty good.. especially "Pirates of the Caribbean"!! Johnny Depp is soooooooo good in it - I really didn't think I was gonna like it, but ended up really enjoying it! Other than that, I visited family in Ocean City with my mom on Monday and went to a Williamstown party. Oh yeah, Wednesday was amazing =) It was just one the best weeks of the Summer.. I'm off to go shower or do something constructive... Hope everyone is enjoying themselves.. love ya!!

$1 Shots + $1 Beers = Fucked Up Like Whoa!
    06:56pm 10/07/2003

    mood: drained
It's nice to have a slight change in the weather. Granite, it was wet and muggy outside, it was still a delight to be able to drive my car and not have to immediately blast my air conditioner. I love the sun shinning as much as the next person, but the heat wave nonsense is really starting to get annoying, so I'll gladly take a day of rain. Anyway.. the last few days have been enjoyable, like usual. I did manage, however, to get in one day at the beach -- hahaha.. like I need to go to the shore again after my 5 day episode there this past weekend.. eh, why not...

On Monday night, after returning from the shore, Megan and Mary came by at night to get some slurpees and enjoy a night, relaxing, in front of the TV. We rented "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days", which I thought was pretty cute =) Karl walked in and out of the room several times to check out the flick, and even my dad seemed interested in it as well. Once it ended, Mary left, me and Megan sat on the porch and just BSed for about an hour or two. See, you can have fun without alcohol.. hehehe!

Tuesday was my beach day. Me, Kathleen, Her boyfriend Justin, Dennis, and Angela Lansburry, the plush hermit crab, all piled into Big Nose Nelly on a slight road trip to Ocean City. After making a quick food/cigarette run, we were on our way - we got there in no time and set out for the beach for a nice morning of laying out. After dying from exhaustion and heat, we all decided to play in the water. A small child on a boogie board crashed into Kathleen, almost causing her to have a heart attack "Ah, I thought it was a sea animal!" LOL.. it was cute, yet very sad at the same time.. Eventually, we had enough of the sand and ventured onto the boardwalk to get some lunch. I grabbed some Mac and Manco and met up with the other 3 in the food court.. "You can't bring outside food in here..." "Aw, outside food this, cunt..."

Afterwords, we walked around looking at cute body jewelry and checked out some stores. It was a pleasant afternoon. Around 4 or so, it looked like it was going to rain, so we called it a day and headed home. The ride back was rather amusing. Me, Justin, and Dennis were waving like morons to everyone that we passed, and even got 2 or 3 truckers to blow their horns! "Fuck you for not waving bitch! I hope you die!"... lol - I even enjoyed the dancing stylings of "Club Denny" - hahahaha... those boys were dancing around like asses to Kathleen's sex CD. It was a fun afternoon and I hope we make this a consistent thing! =)

At night, Me, Megan, and Kate chilled out for a few hours. We made an attempt at the Washington Township Carnival, Nippers, and 5 Points Diner. After our adventures, we ended back up at the good ole McLean house porch. Chris and Mike Baez drove by and spotted us outside, so they came up and sat and talked with us for a while. It got late and we all departed for our homes.. me being lucky that I was already there =) Chris stayed with me for a little while and we reminisced before telling him I was going to pass out from exhaustion. Time to call it a night.

Wednesday was another fun day. I spent most of it with Jeff on a road trip adventure. Poor kid was stuck listening to my music... I let him play some Tool, though, cause I actually kinda like them and was able to put up with it. We were both super starving, so going to Friendly's seemed like the BEST idea possible! After the glorious supermelt and ice cream I had, we went to his house to just chill out for a while before a night of drinking at McDonnell's. Much to our dismay, it was not karaoke night, so no McGinty entertainment was provide for the evening - well, that's not entirely true.. because we made up for it in other ways. Before actually going in to the bar, we pregammed in the parking lot of the KFC nearby.

Jeff - (Nervously looks around and asks) Is that a cop?
Kate - (Looks Back, Nonchalantly) Nah, just someone getting chicken...

LOL - Yeah, you probably had to be there... We pounded shots of Malibu, provided by the lovely Jeff Judge =), chucked the bottle in the grassy knoll, and headed over to the bar for a night of drunken escapades! Yay!!! Christ, coors light mugs were a buck, so you can only imagine how fucked up I was. Plus, the jello shot girl kept coming to our table.. lol "Aww.. I want 2 of each kind!!" - Good lord - Me, Mary, and Kate took those like champs! We def went to the bathroom there like 5 or 6 times... ahhh, breaking the seal! Hahaha! There was a pretty good cover band playing there too, so that was a plus. This scary man that looked like Moby kept flirting with Kate and bought her jello shots, while Mary flirted with some dudes at the bar... "Mare, Mare.. what are you doing?" "I'm trying to get these guys to buy us more shots"... yeah, like we didn't have enough already? Ha! Once back at home, we made quite the "ruckus" in my room, causing my mom to freak out! And if that wasn't bad enough, I was lying on the ground in just my bra and panties while Kate threw random T-Shirts and shorts at me.. good christ! There was No way I was about to sleep, so the only things I could think to do were eat and make drunken phone calls.. and that's just what I did. Several people called me the next day, including Sam, Jeff, Rachel, and John, asking me if I remembered my drunken babble fests? Eh, not at all...

Somehow (I'm still unsure of this..) Megan picked me up at my house, took me to the 24 hour McDonald's so that I could get some food, and then dropped me back off. "Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia, Alleluia, Allel--uia!" It was like an Angel of God was sent down from Heaven to feed me... lol - Thank you sweetie! We have to go back to McDonnell's on Tuesday - Karaoke contest, and Mary's name is all over that shit!! Well, yeah.. that was my past few days in a nut shell... nothing too exciting is planned for the weekend yet, but we'll see whats up. As always, I'll keep you posted =)

And the Time Goes by So Quickly....
    05:36pm 07/07/2003

    mood: grateful
It's July already? Wow - it's hard to believe that an entire month of my Summer is over. It seems like it was only yesterday when I was taking road trips to Delaware - making attempts at stealing street sings, racing back and forth between Nick's house and my own so that we could peacefully drink, tailgating in the parking lot by Mick Daniel's before going in for St. Patrick's Day, etc...., enjoying my Spring Break. It's been four months since then and I can't believe how much has changed and how quickly the time has flown by - Summer is almost half over. I'd be lying, though, if I said this is how I expected it to be... I'm having a blast, don't get me wrong, but months ago I remember thinking I was gonna spend a lot of it with Reese and company - drinking, bar hoping, taking road trips to Busch Gardens.. all that good stuff. It's funny how things can change so drastically in a day......

I'm not sure why I'm even getting into these issues, or rather, why I'm thinking about them... I think it's because my eyes are finally open now, for the first time in a long while, and I am realizing where my life is headed and why certain things happen. A lot of unusual and/or unexpected things have been presenting themselves to me lately. My parents told me that they are most likely going to move to the shore area within the next year or two. With this, they informed me that I could go to school wherever I want in the country and they'll pay for it - all of it.. housing, books, tuition, etc.. doesn't matter where or how much. This startled me a bit, because, wow, I could actually be 100% independent if I chose and, c'mon, this is my opportunity to live anywhere I want in the United States... how could I pass this up?? This is a once in a lifetime opportunity.. I've got the grades to do it, plus, many kids my age would kill for this chance, yet still... I'm not sure if I'll take it up.. am I ready to finally live my life?

Along with that, I mysteriously ran into two of my ex-boyfriends and one of my best friends from grade school all within 3 days of each other. I talked to all three of them without any bit of awkwardness, like we've been keeping in contact since the day we stopped talking - I thought it was going to be weird, but it was anything but that. It was nice to know that I can still comfortably talk to all of them about anything. Besides seeing people I haven't in years, I also got to spend a lot of time with friends that I don't see on a regular basis. Me and Leo got to hang out and spend a great day down in Unionville, PA. We went to Longwood Gardens - it was beautiful - and got lost in the vastness of the open space... we even went in the woods and watched the sun set over the trees -- it was gorgeous! I never knew how much I appreciate nature until I sat down and actually took part in gazing upon it. That place is sooooo romantic.. I have to invest in taking someone there and just getting "lost" in the surroundings... it's so enchanting and peaceful =) After the loveliness of Longwood Gardens, me and Leonid just drove to various parks and playground after dark just talking and getting to know each other. It's nice to be able to do that with someone you've just met so comfortably.

Another exciting note of the week, before my adventures at the shore, of course, was seeing Legally Blonde 2 with Kate. Rocky and Steve came along, whom I also haven't seen in a bit, which made the night more entertaining. The movie was ok - a bit disappointing, but entertaining nonetheless... can't go wrong with Reesey Witherspoon =) I spent the latter part of the week on the coast - Ocean City, Wildwood, and Cape May - I saw my Aunt, Uncle, plenty of cousins, and the baby, Kaylie... she is such a cutie!! I spent the rest of the weekend with Megan, Lisa, Mike, John, Erin, Nicole, Shannon, Shan's family and Stephanie in various parts of the shore, enjoying the 4th of July and partying hard... ya know, the usual shore thing! Plus, it was nice to spend a little time with Shannon without the kids lingering about or an inordinate amount of her friends or family members around.. there wasn't a plethora of silent time, but just enough to bask in the peacefulness and quiet for a change.

So, it's apparent that I'm not about to go into detail about what I did this past week / weekend... it'll take up too much space and my previous journal entries have been way too lenthy as of late. Just wanted to keep everyone posted and aware that I'm still alive.. hahaha.. just been busy is all.

But yeah, keeping with what I was talking about in the introduction of this post... I've always been a firm believer in that things happen for a reason. In the past year or so, I've learned to never push things and just accept them for what they are... there's a reason why things happen, so just deal with it and take it for what it's worth. I'm sick of making excuses for people - I'm tired of giving those undeserving the benefit of any doubt. I did so much for people that didn't warrant such consideration. And for what? To get pushed aside and kept around for some sort of purpose or convenience.. because that is how it felt. I can't say I don't miss the fun times, because I do, but it's just sad how easily it can all change. My eyes are finally open and I can't believe it took me this long to see it -- actually, I take that back, because the sad thing is, I think I've seen it for a long time and was just too wrapped up and naive that I chose to ignore it and pretend it wasn't there. And the funny thing is.... I blame myself for being so vulnerable............
